Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Mick is a great guide and really good on the safety side of things. The sea cliffs are amazing and have accessible climbs at various levels.

Joined a group of friends for a birthday trip to Margaret River and a morning experience of "rock climbing with abseil" which I incorrectly assumed would be an indoor rock climb and a 3 m abseil onto a foam mattress (didn't click on the link).

We drove out to a 38 m deep vertical access cave and abseiled down, like a Mission Impossible movie (except unlike Tom Cruise's character I am a bit fat and was trembling and frightened and almost wet my pants).

Mick and his team were approachable, professional and made me feel safe as I stepped backwards over the edge into the chasm.

Thoroughly enjoyed the experience; the cave exploration was a privilege and the climb out ladder rung bruises (I don't recommend wearing shorts if you're a novice) have given me days of bragging rights back at work.

Mick told us not to worry about the weather in MR as it was always better on the coast and it was! The whole experience was excellent from the informative correspondence prior to booking, through pick up and instructions on how to climb. Mick is patient, interesting and coped well with a range of climbing abilities. Extremely well priced for such a great time out. 2 thumbs up from the 14 year old!

Fantastic day out. Mick and Donna were friendly, professional and we loved every minute, they catered to all the different abilities in our group. Safe, exciting and an awesome morning to remember for us all. A couple of our kids were certain they were just going to watch but couldn't resist and had a go. Mick was awesome climbing the wall beside to give pointers and assistance to those who needed it. The weather was perfect and a pod of dolphins put on a show by jumping and surfing the waves directly in front of us. Highly recommend it.

What an amazing day we had with Mick. Abseiling into a cave, fantastic lunch at a local store and then climbing and abseiling down the beautiful cliffs at Wilyaburup. Mick was an awesome teacher who was so supportive and was able to get us to do things we never though possible.

Mick took us out for an amazing rock climbing experience. He taught us lots of climbing techniques and encouraged us to push beyond our limits. He was super friendly and chatty and we learned a lot about the area & environment.
If you love the outdoors and adventure, this experience is well worth it. I would highly recommend it!

I was gifted a half-day abseiling experience to celebrate a “significant birthday”. I think it was my friend’s way of saying you’re not old if you can shimmy down a cliff-face. Well, I certainly didn’t feel old going over the edge - I felt terrified! But thanks to Mick and his knowledge/humour/trustworthiness, I also felt safe. And exhilarated! And aliiiiive! It was fantastic. Dodgy knees and all, I even managed to climb up a cliff face as well, thanks to Mick’s expert guidance. My recommendation? Taste the fear and give it some pepper - you’ll thank yourself forever.

I did a half day abseil and it was amazing. Mick was a great instructor- experienced and safety aware. I was a complete novice and managed to get to the bottom of a 40m cave- exhilarating. Very knowledgeable about the cave and had a great time!

An adventure with the Margaret River Climbing Co is 100% a must do thing if you are visiting the area. The instructor Mick makes you feel safe, but also finds the right climbing challenges for your ability level. The caving was ace with a cool ladder climb to get out. Hands down the best day we’ve had in WA. Mick is a funny bloke too, loads of good stories and laughs. The whole day was ace.

We spent a full day with Mick, rock climbing, abseiling, and caving.
He is a great man, who helped me through my fear of height. And gave us a good laugh, would definitely recommend.
