The beauty of stormy seas
May 2021
When our children were young, we enjoyed a number of fishing excursions to this bay. In the intervening years the cape to cape trail has been developed, the boat ramp renovated and the old jetty further deteriorated. Stormy on the day we visited but the island seemed to act as a breakwater as waves were nowhere as high as elsewhere along the coast. Tried to ascend the stairs to get a better view from the top of the dune but yielded to the sandblasting and returned to the warmth of the car where we sat for some time just looking at the ocean.

Absolutely beautiful
May 2021
We loved it here, stopped in on our way to Augusta and were not sorry. Even saw some stingrays at the boat ramp. Good walk up to the look out.

A really great holiday spot
Feb. 2021
3 hours south of Perth, in the middle of the best wine-growing areas in Australia, amazing caravan park, enjoyed 4 days there, walking the beach, looking at the stingrays and just having a great time in one of the chalets

Spectacular beach
Jan. 2021
Such a beautiful beach. The sting rays came right up close and there were hardly any flies which was a nice change for a beach!

Amazing, magical beach
Dec. 2020 • Family
Turquoise crystal clear waters, calm waters, picture perfect. Amazing to walk along the beach to the boat ramp area and see the rays - so calm and just magical to see nature up close.

Beautiful beach and bay

Beautiful beach and bay..remnants of the original jetty still standing and is the source of many a good photo...renowned for large rays but none when we visited but still well worth a visit.

Quiet beach get-away
Aug. 2020
Hamelin Bay is one of the beaches where you can have the whole stretch of shore all to yourself. Lots of friendly seagulls, but no stingray sighting during wet weather. Ample of parking and there are cottages to book just walking distance from the beach. No cellular signal though - so good if you want to shutdown your communication for a while. Amazing and relaxing views. A good long walk as well from the shore to the view deck.

Pretty as a picture (even in wild Weather)
Jun. 2020 • Couples
My second time visiting here, a lot less people at this time of year (June). It was a pretty windy and choppy day so no ray sightings for us but we explored the walk ways and read about the history of the area. Summer time it's a really beautiful beach for playing and swimming and seeing the rays. There's also basic amenities such as toilets, rinse off showers and a small kiosk on weekends. Very little phone signal as well.
