Booked ahead for a group of 15+, including young kids, for an inside tables (due to forecast wet weather). We received a call 10 minutes before the booking saying they'd given our booking away to a tour group, and that we'd need to sit outside. After being shown to the cold, wet tables we booked elsewhere and left. Very disappointing.

I'm saddened to see you write this review about us and that you left.
I called you early today to explain the situation in detail, the male on the phone said no worries we are on our way and will check it out when we arrive. Upon arrival my junior approached me saying you weren't happy, so i started to move bookings around to accommodate to you, i offered you 3 tables all next to each other inside and apologized about the inconvenience but bookings prior to yours had also requested inside, due to that we did not have a table large enough for you. But was told no you did not want it and that its extremely disappointing. I felt as if we did try everything we could to help the situation, . Was seated in a great location near the lawn area. This was about the only good thing about the experience. Chose this restaurant / brewery as have 2 young children - the playground was closed for maintenance which left a small unappealing playground open. Saw that there was a small game set up where you there bean bags through different holes. No instructions about where to get bean bags from - located these are the bar area to be told that there was a deposit required to obtain bean bags. Went to grab my wallet & went back to pay the deposit & was told this wasn’t required.
Asked a member of the wait staff about changing a burger bun on the menu offered as part of an item as my nephew has allergies to sesame seeds & was told that the Chef would not allow this. Pointed out their menu clearly states to speak with waitstaff about any allergies but the team member didn’t seem to care. Went back half an hour later & placed order with a different member of staff & my nephews dietary request was happily catered for.
My mother ordered a ham and cheese pizza which was delivered half an hour after we ordered as apparently the staff placed the order through as a Margherita pizza. The menu food & drinks was very very limited & the beer paddle options very very limited as well. Quite disappointing - will not be returning or recommending

First off the service was amazing, we came in and was greeted nicely, we had an amazing waiter ISAAC he was full of energy and was very uplifting he seemed happy to be here he treated us like his best friends. Ok now the food I can’t get enough of it. IT WAS THE BEST. Even tho there was a mix up they still handle so very very well, we all enjoyed it very filling. The atmosphere was calm and nice. Definitely coming back when we come down again.

We visited this place on 5/12/20 for a couple of pints and to refill my growler for later consumption. I opened it on 9/12 to find about 20% had leaked out. The beer had also gone flat. Thanks Cheeky Monkey for hiring bar staff that can't screw a lid back on properly. You turn it clockwise until it won't turn anymore. There should not be the need for a customer to check that such a basic task has been completed properly. There's $25 literally gone to waste and fun that will not be had.

Hi Mark,
Whilst I thank you for the time you spent to write this review, I don't think the mocking of our staff is necessary. Reviews aren't to used to belittle employees. If this in fact did happen a simple phone call would have sufficed, a refund and a free refill for the inconvenience would have applied. Please the next time this happens allow us to try and fix it before reverting to belittling others.

Pre-booked for lunch on Sunday for a kids birthday party.
We were rushed to order as soon as we sat down even though it was not busy and no-one had booked after us.
The food was really poor, cold steak sandwiches, soggy burgers and the gluten free option for bread/bun was simply not to have one. Incredibly disappointed as the location and playgrounds are great for kids but 3 local families who will definately not be back for food.

Popped in for a casual lunch - the menu is a bit restricted at present, I think because COVID restrictions generally have reduced staff availability, but there was easily enough to pick from.
It's a big barn of a place with a really quite attractive outside area, and all the staff are really friendly and helpful.
The beer is of course good, (they are a brewery!!), and lots of people were trying the tasting sets, but we opted for some wine which was local, chilled and very good.
The food is pub grub style - I had a beef brisket pizza that was on special, my wife their fish and chips and neither of us could finish the very generous portions.
Quite quiet when we were there out of season - we couldn't get near it last time we tried during school holidays.
Great place for a meal and beer and geared up for kids.

Wow, I think a 10/5 is deserved.
My wife had her 60th birthday on the Saturday and what can I say, perfect location, perfect food, perfect staff, just amazing, it’s a credit to this place.
19 of the family attended and from babies to great grandparents and all were thoroughly impressed.
Will be back again.

This is a really good place to go to if you have kids and want to eat in peace.
The staff were amazing, slight hick up with order, but sorted pretty quickly, and the food was great.

Booked online, confirmed and was stuck on a bar-stool with my wife on a table smaller than a car steering wheel. They lost our booking...
Sloppy service, tables didnt know where food was ordered or coming from. Glad to get out of there.
The gift shop was good.
Decided to take a gamble with this place and I lost. There's a reason why locals like myself don't frequent this joint.
Thank you for the terrible experience. I will never be back.

cannot comment on food. after a day hiking we stopped there for a beer: fairly decent selection on offer and the ones we picked met all criteria we may have.
there is a mix of large wooden table lawn-veranda which are very nice for chilling with the beer; it is away from the road, therefore quiet enough; those with kids will be able to let them at the elaborated playground.
