Lake Cave is a stunning crystal wonderland and the only cave in the Leeuwin-Naturaliste Ridge with a permanent lake. It acts as a mirror of infinite reflections that is truly magical. The cave is renowned for the ‘Suspended Table’ – a five tonne column of calcite that hangs from the ceiling just a few centimetres above the lake. The precinct features impressive retail, interpretative and cafe facilities. Located 25 kilometres south of Margaret River.

While I'm sure that any cave in the Margaret River Region would be both beautiful and interesting, this cave has a lake that reflect its crystalline beauty. Tour guides were very knowledgeable in geology and history. It is certainly a nature's wonder

This is a very pretty cave with a great workout on the descent and ascent for the legs. Lighting on the water is special.

Unexpectedly beautiful - stalactites looked like crystal chandeliers, reflections in lake and suspended table were amazing and our guide Scottish Karen was fun and full of interesting facts. If you only have time to do one cave, do this one.

Need to book tour as numbers limited. Unusual features in cave, different to others in area. Tour guide very knowledgeable.

Very well preserved cave. The formation of stalactites & stalagmites are amazing. Extremely beautiful. Worth a visit. Requires a little of stairs climbing but still manageable for elderly & young children.

1.Temperature is quite constant all year round inside the cave. 2.The air quality is not bad compare with other "dry" cave as this one has water running through it. However the path going down into the cave is quite narrow... More

Hi, I only did the two caves, Mammoth and Lake. The Lake cave is 325 steps down, some steep with breaks in between. There was a lady of 80 doing this climb with the group. The mammoth is a lot easier but not as... More

I could never go into those tunnels but I am fine with these caves. I too am claustrophobic.
