Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

As a special treat we signed up to the twilight ride suitable for beginners to advanced. From the fact that this caters up to advanced, this led us to believe this would be a pretty interesting ride suited to a wide group of people. We both rode a lot growing up, but not for around 15 years.
This is not a ride, this is a walk. A very slow 1 1/2 hour walk. For 50m of so we were given the opportunity to trot but unfortunately the girl in front was struggling so this didn't even happen. This should be advertised as a beginners walk.
Not once throughout the ride was I asked how I was getting on, or even when I got back, or I would have given this feedback then. 1 of the girls sat at the back and chatted to a lady who'd moved to the area for the entire ride (hope she enjoys the VW camper when it's been delivered). I tried riding alongside my partner so I could at least have some conversation and was immediately asked to get back into single file as they didn't want to widen the track's they'd created on the land. While the scenery was lovely, it was a walk similar to many I've done in Aus. I came to ride a horse, not sit in silence for nearly 2 hours!
The positives: incredible horses, a beautiful setting & enthusiastic staff.

Our family of five did the (beginners) trail walk which went for 1hr, this was perfect. On arrive here you are taken back by the picturesque of your surroundings and made to feel at home straight away. Very easy to mount your horse with the use of a large log to step from. We had three instructors with us which helped due to younger children in the group. On our trail we even spotted quite alot of kangaroos. All the horses where in amazing condition and the instructors talked about how much they enjoy working there. We hope to visit again next trip to Marg River.

I have been to many horse riding places before Jesters Flat, and they just do not compare to this place. Jester's Flat is a beautiful venue, the little cottage and campfire give off a nice cozy vibe and the horses were all beautiful and well behaved. This is a very unique place and it is great if you want to try something new. There are a number of rides to choose from. Wether you're a beginner or an expert, or a child or adult. The instructors know what they are doing and they always make sure that everyone is safe and happy.

In our sixties! This was our first experience of riding and it could not have been better. The horses are beautiful, clearly loved and cared for, their calm dispositions reassuring. There was excellent instruction and supervision with three experienced riders walking with our small group. After the ride a beautiful setting to relax with a drink. I could not be happier and will definitely go again.

What an amazing couple Fiona and Paul. Perfect hosts nothing too much trouble to ensure we were well looked after. Emma Vanessa Keely Yvonne and Ebony were so knowledgeable and happy to share it. My husband had never been on a horse before but they made him feel confident to go out
The horses are so well cared for and very educated. We were all matched perfectly
Polocrosse put me right out of my comfort zone but was sooo much fun Paul being an Australian champion player gave us a lesson and got us going.
Riding thru the forest and vineyards were great but the beach ride and swimming the horses was just unbelievable.
I couldnt recommend this place any higher. Very grateful for our experience.

Oh my goodness, what a place! From the minute we arrived it was clear this was going to be a very special weekend in a beautiful setting with attention to detail. Accommodation in the most amazing tents with a fair bit of luxury, food cooked by the wonderful Alex, simple, fresh and full of taste. A welcoming living area, full kitchen, wonderful hosts in Fiona and Paul and experienced and caring instructors (particularly Mara and Breanna). If you have ever felt there is a horse-riding weekend within you, then I'd direct you here. Hugo the horse I was lucky enough to 'ride' and Jack the Kelpie were particular favourites of mine! Literally cannot wait to go back and learn some more.

We recently experienced the "Rosabrook Retreat" at Jesters flat for a girls weekend away.
I cannot express how much fun this weekend was! From the cosy glamping tents so beautifully decked out, the roaring log fire that burned all weekend, the amazing locally sourced food cooked by Alex, the beautiful cottage where we chatted over cups of tea & red wine, the incredible scenery & especially the great company & hosting of Paul, Fiona & crew.
Special mention to our beautiful horses who carried us through some pretty torrential rainfall without a step wrong. All the horses are so well cared for & great temperaments.
We loved this weekend SO much and cannot wait for next year already! x

This trip was the most wonderful experience. Very comfortable beds in gorgeous Glamping tents with warm fairy lights sprinkled throughout the property. Jesters horses were very well behaved and the staff did everything to ensure our safety and comfort. I highly recommend this experience for a girls weekend away!!! Can’t wait for the next one. Thanks Paul and Fiona x

This was such a memorable experience. From the day we stepped through the door to driving away on the last day. Fiona, Paul and Lucy were exceptional hosts. The girls who guided us did a great job. Home cooked meals, lovely wine from their own vineyard, awesome comfortable bell tents and the horses are amazing. Well looked after, trained and responsive. We did the 3 day ride in humid sunshine one day to rain the next, however this added to the whole experience. This is a horse lovers must do! Margaret River regions is beautiful if you want to see some of the south west. I can't wait to visit again in winter to enjoy the huge fire pit. Oh and Rosie the Kangaroo and Jack the dog, can't forget them. xx

Most horseriding places look pretty rough, basic and even neglected but Jester's Flat is so lovely. They give you both helmets AND boots. The horses are beautiful. There is an enormous halved tree trunk for mounting your horse easily. The guides were excellent - they took care in assigning horses to riders and gave everyone basic pointers on horseriding. They were friendly and appeared to enjoy their job! We did the 1hr Country Lane tour which was beautiful, saw lots of kangaroos up close too which was a bonus.

Hi,
May I know can 1yrs old and 3 yrs old toddler ride on the horse together with the parent?
Written 13 January 2017
So sorry for the delay in our reply! Unfortunately we do not offer tandem rides. We do have little ponies for children under 6yrs, that you are able to just lead around. Hope that helps!

Hi
I agree with Karen. They are very friendly and professional. They do need to make sure they have enough riders or can plan the individual rides so that is why they need the bookings. You will have a wonderful time I am sure
