Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This gallery has been around for a long time and survived the horrible fires nearby. However sadly we were told it would be closing soon. We always visited if we were in the area. It presents stunningly beautiful paintings, skillfully crafted woodwork, glassware and other artwork of very high quality-no substandard artwork here. We were inspired and grateful to have seen the art pieces again.

We have been coming to this gallery for years and it is a highlight of our trips. We love all the art works and furniture. Sadly this trip was bittersweet when we learned that they are closing shortly due to impacts from covid. It will be well missed!

Lovely to come back this way again and to visit the gallery... Sad to hear its been a bad 2years as no travellers from overseas and interstate that they rely on..
Hopefully it will turn around as they have some wonderful art work, glass of Alan Fox and beautiful timber pieces..
Well worth the visit..
Good luck James

Going through the bushfire ravaged Boranup/Leeuwin region, 3+ weeks after the massive bushfire swept hectares of native forests. Visited Boranup Gallery that was only metres from being engulfed. James struggling to contend with the last 2 years of Covid19 and the lack of eastern states & overseas tourists and then this bushfire. Feeling for them and hope the turnaround happens quickly, so he can stay in business, as his craftsmanship is amazing.

While there was enough art work on display, the opening hours are currently reduced to 10 am -12 nn. Bit strange that the whole time were there all visitors were totally ignored by staff on duty. No greeting on entrance or any other acknowledgement.

Another victim of the Covid pandemic might be closing. We were there in October and the owner was telling us they may not be there much longer. Most of the stuff is too expensive for me to purchase but it was great to see all the local art work being displayed.I went home with a coupld of Banksia nut carved into apples(one of the cheaper options). It is worth the look just to see the variety of artists in the area and the beautiful woodwork.Great place to visit if you are into artwork

We drove a 120km round trip to visit this gallery. We cut our visit short due to the lack of facilities and unhelpful staff. It’s only open for a couple of hours which is probably why it was too much trouble to turn on the heating. When we enquired about the use of toilets, we were told to go to Lake Cave and use the public toilets there.

For a gallery selling expensive merchandise, the inability to provide the basics and make prospective buyers welcome is not really acceptable. We have visited this gallery before and purchased items however our visit this week will be our last.

If you like hand-made furniture, this Gallery is probably the best location in the South West to view and purchase iconic and one-off pieces. It had been too many years since we visited and our first views when alighting from the car were the varied eyecatching sculptures adorning the elevated garden area. The pieces housed inside certainly showcased the skills of the artists, a beautiful table with top seemingly cut from a tree trunk of sufficient width, that there were no joins evident. My wife lingered over the various nests of tables. There are lovely stocks of paintings, glassware, ceramics, decorative items, etc. Like other businesses, lack of tourists during the past year has had an adverse impact; the café and toilets closed and a gallery that is facing challenges as a result. Thirty plus years in existence and still a treasure trove of quality.

This gallery tends to specialise in exquisite furniture such as desks and tables but also has a large range of other crafts, paintings, sculptures and the like. There's something here to suit most tastes and wallets.

The quality of the woodwork is second to none. The prices reflect the quality and workmanship.

It's worth spending time looking at all offerings as there are some nicely priced smaller pieces. For example we bought a small bit gorgeous oak and jarrah box for a good price. Great quality.

There's a cafe adjacent to the gallery but it's currently closed awaiting new owners. That shouldn't put you off a visit to the gallery, though.

After visiting a large number of galleries in the area this would have to be our favourite. Located about 20mins south of Margaret River just off Caves Road nestled amongst the Boranup Forest (open between 10am & 4pm).

The gallery looks like a typical Australian homestead, with wide verandas, corrugated iron roof, rammed earth walls and local timbers.

Inside it houses a huge collection of artworks created by local and Australian artists working in a range of mediums – paintings, glass, wood and metal sculpture, jewellery & ceramics.

The cafe is currently closed but that shouldn’t be a reason not to visit. We found some exquisite pieces that we hadn’t seen anywhere else to take home.
