What an ‘amazing’ place this turned out to be. We started with 18 holes of putt putt and then moved on to the large maze which had us bamboozled.
We wish we had left more time to enjoy the place as the grounds were beautiful and the coffee shop was great. We packed a lot into an hour and a half. Great place for all ages (we are a group of four 59-70years of age) and thoroughly enjoyed this as a side activity to wine, gin and beer tasting.

What a disgrace!! Run by Neanderthals! Every dead end in the maze was marked in the sand and the management didn’t even care. I suggested that they come out with a broom or rake as to not upset or ruin anyone else’s experience only to be told when I checked if they had done this that no one could see all the marks. Maybe get your eyes checked!! I even offered to take them out and show them all the marks. Obviously some idiot customer had done this but the staff and management NEED TO GIVE A DAMN, NEED TO FIX IT AND NEED TO REMEDY ANY CUSTOMERS THAT HAD A POOR EXPERIENCE!! I explained how disappointing this was for my children. and was yelled at by the elderly man - calling me a disappointment and saying that no-one has ever complained. Please just see all the previous bad reviews of this place. Wish I had read these first. They all need lessons in customer service. What a way to run a place, two grumpy old people (who clearly need to retire) and a bunch of children who can’t even answer the phone nicely or answer questions on arrival. Not as advertised, not beautiful, barbed wire in the hedge, most horrific staff we’ve ever come across in all our travels. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!! Plenty of AMAZING things to do in this beautiful region of WA…… shame such a beautiful area has to be ruined by people and experiences like this. Also before they respond with “we can’t control what other people do” my advice is - yes I understand ,however, YOU CAN CONTROL YOUR RESPONSE, YOUR ACTIONS & YOUR TEMPER & YOUR WORDS!!

Family tickets for mini golf and maze were priced at $124. The mini golf kept us occupied for almost an hour, the hedge maze was fun but young kids may get tired if they couldn’t get out. There were benches in the maze for rest and an emergency exit in case you give up half way. It was fun in general for an activity close to downtown!

Another activity in the area which is hard to rate!

Positives:
- kids had fun in the maze until one fell and cut their leg up on the gravel
- it was challenging to get in and out of
- the benches made finding a dead end fun for the kids instead of frustrating
- after doing the maze there was some games and small mazes to play with
- ice cream afterwards was a good incentive for the kids

Not so positive:
- $28 an adult!!! That’s more expensive than the caves! $18 for a kid on top of that just for the maze is a lot
- we arrived at 3pm and were told we could only do the maze or mini golf or we wouldn’t be done by 5pm

We enjoyed the well-maintained outdoor hedge maze. It was a fun activity for the family where we went through it twice so that we could locate all nine different benches in the maze. The ticket was pricey (more expensive than the caves) though. Besides the maze, there was a garden with large sized chess and games, and bbq area as well. Also great to have a restaurant to chill after the activities.

A Maze in Margret River (MR) brekkie
Weren’t sure what to expect with the maze in Margaret river as not sure how exciting maze’s are these days. But ended up having a lot more of a fun start to our day than we expected. Firstly the cafe is a nice place to start and the ‘light’ breakfast of scone and savoury muffin was surprisingly delicious. The maze itself is just big enough to keep you walking around and not too big to make you lose hope of ever finding your way out. It is beautifully maintained and it’s nice to be able to enjoy the greenery of the maze in all its glory. Well worth a visit and wander.

The gardens were beautiful and it was a lovely place to bring a family for the activity as well as picnic.
The main maze was great and looked terrific. We finished it quicker than we thought we would. (This assumption was based on the Maze at Bullsbrook which I remember getting stuck in for an hour or so!) So it was all over pretty quickly less than 30 mins.
We played the other mazes there too, our favourite was the red, white, black one, and spent time playing the large chess game. I liked that.
I would like to see some other mazes added to the park at some stage to make it a longer activity. For the price I would have liked it to entertain is longer. Or if mini-golf was included in the price target than extra on top.

An enjoyable maze and well presented garden with plenty to do, with or without kids. Good coffee and cafe to boot. Worth visiting.

Amazing maze and gardens but kitchen was sooooo slow. Quiet day, 5 staff in the kitchen, took 50mins to get nuggets and chips x4.
