A fun relaxed and informative tour company which has been running in the Margaret River Region for over 10 years! Jump on board a full day tour and visit 7 venues including 2 Breweries, 3 Wineries and the Chocolate & Cheese Companies. Inclusive of the price is a gourmet lunch at a local brewery inclusive of a beer and cider tasting whilst you eat. Tours run daily from around 11am to 5pm, 360 days of the year. What more could you ask for! We pick up guests from their accommodation in the Margaret River, Busselton, Dunsborough and Yallingup regions and drop them back to their door* based on availability on the day. See our website for more details. We have the opportunity to visit over 100 venues, and pride ourselves on giving our guests an enjoyable & relaxed day out!

A relaxing day sampling fine wines and beers.

The tour overall was memorable. A well managed small group tour of boutique wineries and breweries. Dan our driver was very good, his knowledge of the region was notable and the itinerary was spot on with a balanced selection of venues.

Lunch was provided along with a selection of beers. The charcuterie plate for two was delicious.

This tour is highly recommended and our group leader Dan as our designated driver was top notch.

A free pick up within the Margaret River area was also included.

Really Great Day Out - Highly Recommend

Russell was a legend of a tour guide with a great playlist belting through out the day.
The wineries and breweries we went to were more than generous with their pouring and the food was good.
It was really great value for money and we had the best day. I would definitely go again and would recommend anyone going to Margaret River to do this tour over any other.

Bootleg Brewery lost Margies BDO a rating point

This was the second tour we’ve done with them and I wouldn’t hesitate to book with them again, but Bootleg Brewery needs to come off their default lunch choice. Here’s why I love BDO but why I didn’t rate Bootleg this time.

Pros
•Wes! Awesome guy, picked us up on time and had the perfect balance of interaction with us. We enjoyed his conversation and company.
•Entirely different wineries and breweries on offer this time that we didn’t go to last time (except for bootleg). Jarvis Estate was a winner. Thanks Sara for the education.
•Solid six hours.

Cons
•Chocolate factory is neither here nor there, literally little buttons to sample out of a help yourself dispenser and the visit is purely to buy things.

Bootleg Brewery
•Platters were fine but no where near as good as they used to be.
•They catered to my request for a vegan option but it contained beans (nice), avocado dip (nice) but then just crackers, corn chips and Turkish dip with dukkah, eevo and balsamic. Basically loaded up on cheaper carbs.
•Hot chips were nice.
•Incredibly unkept, it was old and needs some new life put into it.
•Lawn was long and patchy and very uninviting.
•Service friendliness needed improving. Appreciate Wes bringing our beers but explanations on tasting notes would have been nice.

If I did this tour again I’d make sure I requested not to go to bootleg, as that would be the difference between me booking with/recommending this tour over others.

Awesome day

Had an awesome day out with 14 of us. Had the bus all to ourselves and was exceptionally hosted by Wayne. He took care of everything for us. All we had to do was drink and eat.
Can’t believe we haven’t done this in the past, but will definitely be doing it again

Great wineries and breweries tour

Great day out. Venues were excellent especially Jarvis winery.
Lovely bunch of people on the trip which always helps in my opinion and Dan the driver was wonderful. Very friendly and helpful.

Disappointing

I did this exact same tour last year and it was superb! However i feel i need to give a fair review of my account today as it was a pretty poor experiene. Today I went on this tour and I'm sorry to say that it wasn't a good experience. The tour was late, we then ended up lost and sat on the bus for an hour before even getting to a winery, we were then left waiting for the tour guide on our first stop as they disappeared - which we found out later was due to them collecting more people.
Finally we were off to our second winery which wasn't too bad but i personally preferred the vineyards we went to last year in margaret river.
The lunch was ordinary and we were told to share a platter for three between four of us. So all in all I felt today really wasn't worth the $95 paid.
Lastly at the very end of the tour we were left to wait again for the tour guide to return as they went off to drop other people off. So I would think twice before going on this tour.

Disappointing and overpriced

Really disappointed with this tour and utterly surprised at all the excellent ratings. We visited only three wineries (two with your standard complimentary tastings and one with an absolute dribble that was barely enough to whet your lips) and two breweries - and the driver talked us out of the chocolate factory and then the cheese factory wasn’t even offered. Aside from a couple of tiny tastings at the first brewery we had to buy our own beers, and the last brewery we weren’t offered a single free thing, just dumped there at the end of the day and told to buy our own drinks. Lunch was a small bowl of chips between four people and a tiny snack platter between two- absolutely outrageous. Considering most of the stops on this tour are free I have no idea where the money goes. Much better to save the $400 we spent as a group of four and go for a drive yourself. Really disappointed with this and it really put a dampener on our trip to margret river as we were recommended by friends and it was basically the only reason we were in the area. Tried contacting the company and was basically just told that no one else had complained before and they were comfortable with the offerings

Not entertaining - poor choice

After reading reviews we thought this would be the place to pick. Not satisfied with the choices of some destinations and could only spend 5-10 minutes at the destinations - more time spent on the bus.
They were very polite with the pick up and drop off but as for making it a fun, entertaining day it, it did not meet our expectations.

Sorry our tour did not meet your expectations, majority of guests we have on board really enjoy the destinations we visit. We also are always more than happy to take requests if there are certain places you would or would not like to visit through out the day. I feel that your reference to 5-10 minutes at each destination was a slight exaggeration? For a tour that runs for over 6 hours, there are times when there is travel time at the start and end of the day depending on where you are staying, but there is no way any venue could rush through a tasting that quickly! it is unfortunate that you did not find the tour entertaining, we do try to ensure our guests have an enjoyable day out. Apologies once again that your expectations were not met.

Margies beer & wine tour

Jemima was our tour guide & driver. She was amazing & the wineries & breweries she took us to was well worth the money we paid. Being a NZ couple we enjoyed the company of the other australian couple on our tour. We will definitely be coming back for another tour when we visit the beautiful Margaret River township in the future 👍😃

Awesome way to spend a day!

Second time doing Margies Big Day Out and it is still an brilliant tour.
Dicko, our driver, was hilarious and really made the day. Some tours are too serious or try to be funny but this one is laid back and genuine.
Good spread of wineries/breweries plus the cheese/chocolate companies makes sure you see most of what Margaret River has to offer! We all had a blast and can't wait until next time!
