Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Snake and Herring is a great little winery in the Margaret River area.
The cellar door is quite funky with lots of quirky things to do there.
Their wines are of a high standard and the lady working the cellar door was pleasant and knowledgeable about her product.

This small space is very inviting and the outdoor area is very welcoming if you want to stay and enjoy some wine and nibbles with some outdoor games.

The bar like set up was also really good to see. The wines are delightful and I am definitely keen to go back on a sunny day and sit outside with some wine under the trees.

Lunch at Yarri restaurant the day before entitled us to 10% off wine purchases.
Knowledgeable staff and very good wines.

We recently visited this winery by chance when we were looking for a winery we had visited on a trip years ago (which is now gone). We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and the lady (owner) who did our tasting was fantastic and very interesting and knowledgeable to talk to. Snake and Herring are the nicknames of the two male owners (with their own unique back stories of course). More importantly the wines were fantastic and we left with a mixed case because there were so many that we enjoyed. We will certainly be adding this winery to our 'must visit' list when we are next in the area. Highly recommend a visit.

A modest space with a lovely outlook over a dam. A very pleasant lady served us - chatty, informative - and offering home grown tomatoes to buy as well wine to taste.

We enjoyed trying some Snake & Herring Wines during our recent visit to the Margaret River. Some of their blends are a little unusual but they are very good. The ambiance of the cellar door and winery is very welcoming.

Picked this one out as we had never heard of it before and don’t like going to the bigger commercial cellar doors. Fantastic wine, awesome cellar door and outside seating. Dog friendly too! This a one of those winery’s you just have to put on your list…..we will be back

All though I have never be to the winery, Snake & Herring wines are appearing on more wine lists in Noosaville. This Chardy is one of the best I have ever drank, since trying it at a couple of restaurants I have purchased a couple of cases and every drop has been great

So glad we called in just on a whim as we were driving past. Lovely, quiet, small cellar door and the lady serving us was great! All the reds we tried were delightful - so we bought ..... a few. Totally recommend dropping in!

This is a different cellar door - small and unassuming, serving wines made by a top winemaker, from grapes selected from all over the south west. It makes for different blends and tastes to many other wineries in the area. It’s difficult to complete with so many great wines to try and places to go, but this is one of a few smaller wineries well worth tracking down, and taking the time to try something new (for this area). We were served by a lovely woman (in-laws from Russels Sq in UK - sorry didn’t get your name) who’s obvious enthusiasm for the wine led us through the options, and helped make it a stop worth making
