Can be very windy, plenty of kite surfers and board surfers. Can also walk around the edge of the river. Beware of snakes and wear enclosed footwear etc.

Very nice beach at the river mouth. Sea was rough and it was great to see some big waves and a crowd of people learning to surf. Worth a visit while you are in Margaret River area.

I found this location really pretty. Some amazing bird life in the area. Easy access from the carpark

we had the most fun sliding down the dunes into the river on the back side of the beach where the river cuts through to the ocean. Easy parking but gets thick on weekends and holidays.

Iconic Margaret River - even in the rain and the wind. The mouth of the river was interesting, and worth visiting

Came here after visiting the surfer's point. There's plenty of parking space and the place aren't crowded. Very nice viewpoints and kids can play at the river mouth. There's restroom next to the carpark which is really convenient.

lovely to see where the River reaches the Ocean, not much else around but stunning views of the white sands and blue skies.

Yes most definitely. There was a board near the walkway showing species, sizes and bag limits allowed. There was a man fishing at the mouth of the river while we were there. Such z lovely spot. Enjoy!
