A amazing design overlooking the Indian Ocean. Each gull crafted int the dome represents a life lost. The story of the history relating to the HMAS Sydney ll is depicted beautifully.

It’s a monument with many talking points. It is hugely interesting while sad too. Make sure you go on the morning tour at 10.30. Listen carefully to understand the reasons for the seagulls, the pool and the standing lady statue. They all have huge revelance....More

Hats off to the Geraldton Rotarians for constructing this beautiful memorial. We did the tour with an older gent from the Rotary and he was delightful. Really make the time for the tour (at 10.30am) - it really adds something. (I do find it a...More

This memorial is located atop a hill overlooking the ocean. There is great attention to detail in every aspect from the list of seamen lost to the lavender planted around this magnificent memorial. Certainly worth a visit.

Wonderful memorial and tribute to those souls lost. Very tastefully done, credit to all those involved in its design construction and maintenance, well worth a visit and an opportunity to reflect on our past and sacrifices made.

At a wonderful local eatery, Archipelago, a resident encouraged us to visit this memorial. And so we did, right away, that very evening. A spectacular sight unfolded: not only of the well-lit memorial itself, but of the city and port as well. Couldn't read much...More

Maybe your cruise line will provide bus transport to the memorial. Otherwise a taxi would be the way to get there. There were guides on the day we went.
