Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Best to do when not hazy or super windy. 25 metre climb to top but great view to all points of the compass. Take your time, its worth the climb. Parking for a few cars near tower

On our way to Margaret River, stopped in at Bunbury.
Made our way to the Marlston Hill Lookout which offers wonderful 360 degree views of Bunbury and the surrounds.
Be warned, it gets extremely windy at the top, but it is an easy climb and on a clear day shows Bunbury at its best.

It’s an easy 89 steps up to the top 360 degree lookout with views of the sea and city. Great way to orient yourself to the area, see a great view, maybe watch the sun rise or set. Limited free parking and tight to get in and out. Not accessible for wheelchairs.

A wonderful 360 degree view of the city and ocean. A must see if visiting Bumbury. Free of charge to climb the tower but the gates are locked at a certain time at night. Beautiful grass, gardens and benches along paths and stairs to follow down to street view.
Take your time to look around, you wont be disappointed.
Limited parking, not ideal for coaches or caravans as there is only one way in and out.
Possibly park further along at the beach and walk it.

Its not for the infirm, or if you have knee problems. The walk to the tower uphill all the way so take a breath at the bottom. The hike to the top is worth it. Enjoy the 360 views & the breeze.

Marlston hill Lookout tower is a prominent structure in the city of Bunbury. Located in the neighborhood adjacent to the back beach this tower offers a splendid view of the city. From its beaches to port to the neighborhood. Best time to visit will be in the late afternoon/evening when the sun sets in .
Admission is free & it has a nice garden with seating areas beneath the tower.
A must TO DO if er visiting Bunbury . .

All tourists visiting Bunbury should take the time to climb the tower if possible. The climb is not very challenging and provides a nice view of the city. Some locals use the tower for fitness reasons.

Bunbury does have many tourist attractions but the areas south near Margaret River etc attract the crowd. Include Bunbury and Ferguson Valley in down south holidays.
