About
Bunbury Regional Art Gallery is the premier exhibition space in the South West of WA. With six different gallery spaces and exhibitions changing every 6 - 12 weeks, there is always something new to see. BRAG's diverse programming includes nationally touring contemporary art exhibitions as well as works by local South West artists. It is also home to the City of Bunbury Art Collection, which to date includes approx 1100 pieces dating back from 1940's, which is on a rotating schedule within the galleries, offering new delights with every visit. BRAG is housed in a historic former convent which was home to the Sisters of Mercy for many years. It is one of the oldest buildings in Bunbury, and you can't miss its vibrant pink facade. The Gallery is open to the public from 10am - 4pm Wednesday to Sunday (including public holidays) and by appointment for group bookings only on Tuesday and Wednesday between 10am - 4pm. Visit the website to make a tour enquiry.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The displays are diverse and have many pieces from its Japanese sister city. The staff are helpful and welcoming. They exhibit a sense of humour as on the opposite side of the 'Free Entry' sign are the words, 'Free Exit.' That was my chuckle of the day. They have a piano to use if you are so inclined. Indeed a pleasant visit.

We called through bunbury and Would drawn to the Bunbury regional art gallery - BRAG. Situated in an old sisters of Mercy convent there are multiple exhibitions with lots of art for sale. We were fortunate to experience the biennale which has a fascinating range of local artists exploring gender - he/she/they is the title

You cant miss this pink building.... transformed from a Covent into an art gallery. It is situated in the city centre.
The building has several rooms and stairs ..... floorboards creak as do the stairs which adds to the history of this beautiful old building.
Art work is displayed in all rooms and is changed often.
Entry is free.... Dont rush to see everything.....its the kind of place where you want to take your time to take in everything..... not just the art work.

Fantastic range of exhibitions set in a convent-turned-art gallery! Recreated nun cell on one side of the building gives an idea of what the building used to be like as a convent. Ever-changing exhibition schedule with regional, touring, national, and international shows! Entry is free and they are open every day. What a beautiful part of Bunbury's history.

We decided to visit the Art Gallery this morning to view the displays. Certainly different and, with the exception of the Drew Pettifer display, "A Sorrowful Act: The Wreck of the Zeewijk", the remainder did not generate much interest for me.

I came here with some family to check out the 2019 Blooming Art Exhibition, which involved creative floristry combined with art. Floral displays were created based on selected artworks from the Bunbury City Art Collection, and the results were spectacular. I briefly checked out some of the other works on display, but plan to return some time to have a closer look at the entire art gallery and see everything it has to offer.
Entrance is free, and they have different exhibitions throughout the year. The building is a historic and picturesque one (it was originally a convent), and you can't miss the bright pink colours. It's ideal for a museum and adds real character. Lots of free street parking is available in the area, which is close to the down town center of Bunbury.

I regularly attend the Bunbury Regional Art Gallery and there is always something interesting and different to see. They often show local artists as well as very different types of art. Even better, sometimes the art is for sale and I have bought some very unique pieces as presents from there. Staff are wonderful too.

Housed in a lovely old convent not far from the main street of Bunbury, this is a gallery with constantly changing exhibitions that always interest us. Well done to the staff!

I was expecting more information about the history of Bunbury. However there was an exibition of paintings and drawings by local artists and children which was very good.

To think this beautiful building was destined to be demolished and the site turned into a shopping centre in the late 70's is horrifying!
Fortunately the Catholic Bishop of Bunbury and others entered into negotiations with the Mayor Mr Usher to sell at a much reduced price to the City.
This then became the home for the City's art collection and travelling exhibitions.
The gallery is staffed by friendly and knowledgeable people who genuinely want to make this a great exerience for you.
