Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Being the summer holidays, this area is buzzing with activities - fairground, Friday night Market, Adventure Playground, car display etc. This did make it difficult to go a for a casual stroll, but all seemed to be enjoying themselves. Parking was at a premium, so being able to walk there from our accommodation was a bonus.

This is one of the most simple yet effective pieces of infrastructure along the Warrnambool foreshire. This track is approximatelt 5.7 kms of concrete walkway and mildly undulating in areas but overall it is relatively flat. The 'Prom' offers views of the harbour area and the local caravan parks border the path. Towards the pier end are your choice of 3 cafés and these are also close to Lake Pertobe, a child and adult Mecca. It is used regularly by walkers, runners, bike riders, roller skaters and is a great conduit for disability wheelchair access tot he foreshore area. It's great for surfers gaining access to the beach. Best of all, it is free.

A lovely walk that is easily accessible from a number of points. Plenty of car parking at each entry. The length of the walk can vary depending on where you join in.

Have walked this promenade 2 or 3 times a week at various times of the day. I prefer early morning as there are fewer people and you can watch the sun rise above the ocean. On a gorgeous day you can meet families with the youngsters riding, walking or skateboarding, dog walkers, cyclists, etc. Easy access to the beach where you can stroll in the shallows or brave the cold water. There are 3 stops along the way for coffee or beverage of choice.

If you're after either a relaxing walk,jog/run or bicycle ride either by yourself or with family or friends and pets then this is a good place to go. You can start from the breakwater or you can start from near the Hopkins river. With many rest stops that are along the path it can be as physical or as relaxing as you like. There's many good spots for taking pics/selfies or to just stop and admire the view. A lot of the path is protected by shrubs which is especially good when its windy. Many locals and traveller's use this very popular attraction.

Although the water was cold, the waves were perfect. The waves coming into the bay are excellent for learning to surf. The only draw back was the seaweed, and the drop off in some places.
A warning to those with young children or children that aren't good swimmers, the sandy bottom can drop off very quickly in spots, so its a good idea to go in first to check it out. There is a great walk along the back of the sand dunes, well worth the walk.
