Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A pleasant stroll in gardens that are larger than they first appear. Well kept with water features, rotunda, pathways and a few chairs this is a lovely green space several blocks away from the main tourist part of town (i.e. the coast) and it's pleasantly quiet.
Plenty of staff were in attendance upon my visit and it's obvious great care is taken of these gardens.

This is a small garden, very well laid out and maintained, with large, significant trees and sweeping lawns. The path winds past a fountain, historic well, sundial, fernery, rotunda and lake with a bridge. For us, the large, noisey bat colony was particularly fascinating. There is a nature based play space for kids. Public toilets are also available in the fenced garden area. Well worth a visit.

What a lovely setting to sit and relax with a picnic of just a coffee. The gardens are really well set out and a pleasure to walk through. A credit to the caretakers. A good size and easy to wander around in. Good location and easy to get to.

My daughter had read about the Lone Pine Memorial in Warrnambool's Botanical Gardens, so we decided to take a look. These gardens are not huge, but are still worth a look. We found them to be very pretty.
Plenty of shady trees are there for visitors to sit under in the warm sunshine. Some of the pathways are difficult to use for those with limited walking abilities, but these pathways can be avoided.
The Lone pine memorial is definitely worth a look. Even if a visitor does nothing else, they should take the time and trouble to remember those who fell during The Great War.

A little slice of heaven here and wonderful place to while away the hours on a picnic rug or under a tree. Beautifully landscaped and a joy to experience! (I later found out it was designed by William Guilfoyle, the same landscape designer of the Royal Botanic Gardens).

Based on the reviews on here I expected it to be a very small garden. But it’s actually fairly sizeable. Obviously it’s not going to be as big as something like melbournes gardens but I think it’s very pretty nonetheless.
Has some fantastic fig trees, lovely pond complete with ducks, waterfowl and fish. The bats are super easy to see. Gardens are nice and tidy even if they don’t have a huge range.
Perfect place for a picnic or if you have kids let them burn off some energy in the shade. Perfect change from going to the beach for the day.

Well laid out, well tended and pretty Botanic Garden. It was great to see some of the trees that have survived for a very long time in the salty environment.

This town is so lucky to have such beautifully kept & maintained gardens!
The new natural playground is a fantastic asset!
Not keen on the fruit bats or the cockatoos..messy & too noisy!

My sister, niece and myself had a peaceful, relaxing walk around the Botanical Gardens which is quite serene. We were fascinated with the bats and the interactions with the birds and ducks.
