An easy stroll to the two viewing platforms. Beautiful spot to take photos. Interesting indigenous history and how they took care of their land. The limestone rock formations are truly stunning.

We had seen so many photos of the Apostles and loved the view but had not heard of this Bay. A great view and excellent photo stop.

It is a very short walk from the small parking lot to the viewpoint. One gets a view of a bay with many islands in it (very similar to what one sees at 12 apostles). However, there are now crowds here, so is much more...More

Wow this was beautiful and being naturally made was even better definitely don’t miss out on this if your doing the drive. A lot better in my mind than the 12 apostles. We loved it

Only 20 minutes along the road through Peterborough and better than the apostles by a mile, much less crowded, you are a little further away from the impressive limestone pillars but a walk to the beach takes you closer. Really impressive and wild seas when...More

I made the mistake of traveling this part of the Great Ocean rd later in the afternoon when the salt spray was up which added to the glare making photography more challenging. If i could i would travel Angelsea to Apollo Bay in the morning...More

Bay of Islands is probably one of the most spectaculair views of the great ocean road. A lot of apostels and magnificent view on the Bay. Spectacular.

Having spent many years holidaying at Peterborough I became very familiar with the area albeit years ago. The Bay of Islands was always my favourite despite the more popular 12 Apostles being only a short drive away. The beauty of the way that nature has...More

Most people don’t go this far once they visit the Twelve Apostles tourist site. But you really should take that extra 20 odd minutes to drive through Port Campbell and Peterborough to experience the Bay of Islands. The more expansive Bay Area and larger structures...More

I would pack a Rain Coat as early September , there is the usual spring rain, and it may be windy and chilly so a warm jacket would be needed
