Really enjoyed stopping at the numerous scenic lookouts. Sandy Cove before the bay of islands is also beautiful

A serene and peaceful place of contemplation viewing a number of small islands created by coastal erosion. Well worth stopping for and spending a few moments of rest and reflection.

Parking available don’t miss it! Everyone thinks it’s all about seeing the twelve apostles. It’s not! Hire a car and stop at every section you can view, they are well signposted. This way you avoid the tourist hoards. Best time is early morning.

This is a much quieter place to view the coastline from the Great Ocean Road as compared to the 12 Apostles. There were only a few people at the lookouts when I was there in school holiday time. There are a number of lookouts to...More

Took our overseas family (from Scotland) along the Great Ocean Road many opportunities along the road for photos. The day was hot, skies blue and sea aquamarine, What more can you ask for? Always busy along here because of the numerous tour buses and people...More

Another fabulous site to stop on the Great Ocean Road. Plenty of photographic opportunities at this stunning site. View point is only a 100 metres or so from the car park.

Bay of Islands is AS impressive and spectacular as The 12 apostles. This is located close to the END of Great Ocean Road coming from Melbourne.

This spot is one of the many classic great ocean road views but simply beautiful. Was fairly busy here but the further west you go along the great ocean road the less busy. Would definitely come back here

Amazing vista at the first (of 2) lookouts walked to. Feels visually like the landscape of dragged sandstone cliffs, surly bay filled by southern swells, and changing overhead sky wraps your entire view 270 degrees. The most naturally awesome vista (IMHO) on The Great Ocean...More

Beautiful views and right near other GOR stops though it wasn't crowded at all when we went. Saw a kangaroo jump across the road while driving here!

I would pack a Rain Coat as early September , there is the usual spring rain, and it may be windy and chilly so a warm jacket would be needed
