Wow! This is possibly the best destination park and playground that we have ever been too. It caters for everyone of all ages and abilities. There is so much to see and do. It has ample car parking, toilet facilities, BBQ amenities, shelters, picnic tables, various playgrounds, nature and water play, flying foxes, mystery maze, lake including boating activities, rolling green grass and plenty of shade. Perfect for a long or short stay. There really is something for everyone.

This large parkland reserve offers something for all ages. We delighted in wandering around the lakes, admiring the views and spotting birdlife. The paths were well laid out, smooth and well maintained. There were paddle and motor boats available for hire on the lake. The lawns provided ample space for games and picnics. We saw BBQs under large shelters with picnic tables. There were playgrounds, a flying fox and public toilets. There were plenty of car parking areas. Definitely a great place to visit.

Lake Pertobe Adventure Playground is a great spot for families to spend some time outdoors. The playground has a variety of equipment suitable for kids of different ages, from swings to larger play structures. offering nice views and a relaxed atmosphere.
There are plenty of open spaces, picnic areas,, making it a good place for a casual day out. The area is well-kept, with easy access and parking nearby. Whether you’re looking to let the kids play or just enjoy the surroundings, it’s a nice place to visit if you’re in the area.

There’s an array of things to do in this playground. Good for kids big and small. The maze, zip line, mini water feature to cool down during summer. There’s also a cafe across , a mini golf nearby, paddle boat and mini boat hires, nice walking trails, huge area to play soccer.

This is clearly one of the hotspots and main attractions of Warrnambool! Probably one of the biggest outdoor parks/playground we've been to and it's all free! There's about 3-4 adventure playgrounds spread out across the whole park, bbq facilities, 2 flying foxes, underground trampolines, long slides for the bigger kids, heaps of parking, ample toilets all set on a lake reserve where you can also go canoeing or motor boating. The grassed area is massive and plenty of room to kick a footy, play cricket, throw a frisbee or kick back and find a shaded area next to a tree to relax and chill out. Big tick of approval to the local council for upkeeping and maintaining all these facilities on a regular basis for all to enjoy! The location is also directly across from the main beach with walking/bike trail and during Xmas holidays there is also a carnival across the road. You can't go to Warrnambool without coming here, it really is heaven for kids and families alike!

Lake Petrobe would be the best playground for kids in Victoria. A variety of playgrounds and attractions for all ages within walking distance of each other. Slides, swings and soft sand. A beautiful walk between all playgrounds along the lake edge. A must stop for families!

Excellent place for kids of all ages to come and run off some energy.
We’re not local, but have visited several times since our children were little. Now with two tweens- they still love it. The flying fox is a firm favourite.
Bring the football too. Lots of grass to run around!

It's always popular with the kids and plenty of play equipment to choose from. They look busy doing up the carpark or something so parking was a bit limited. An old suspension bridge was out of action too, a smidgen of TLC will help get the place back to it's former glory.

What a fantastic park. Weather wasn’t the best for us but was still great never the less. Kids loved the maze and flying foxes. No boats operating on our visit. Spectacular grounds and kept beautiful

Although more popular in spring and summer than in coastal Warrnambool's typically blustery winters, Lake Pertobe has plenty of space in which children can run around - without annoying their parents, grandparents or carers.
Plenty of grass and close to the beach.

Hi does anyone know if the paddle, motor boats and Mini golf is available on Christmas day please?
Written 27 November 2016
Have spoken to mini-golf owners who say that at this stage they will probably NOT open however may re-assess on Christmas day and if they decide to open it will be between 2pm and 6pm. No contact for putt-putt boat people - neither does tourist info centre. I am guessing that it would be a NO.

I would think it would be very expensive and your better to hire a car if you can as there plenty to see around the area.
But maybe go by train as the station is very central to city
