Captain Andrew, and fisherman Julien is the best tour guide and fishing instructor you could find. Guarantee of fish on and know how to hook up bait for you. First time fishing and I get my hand on quality fishing gear, I end up caught a couple of Snapper and Tiger Flathead myself, although the biggest catch is the Banjo shark but that coming from Julien poles (This guy keep giving me his rod when there was a bite, for me to reel it in, so all the credit go to Julien). Andrew teach me a lot from the joy of working as a fisherman and every time you go out into the sea everything is different. It also a good place to make new friends, to we get back to shore around 3 pm and I ended up hanging out with the other dudes until 1 am, I'm very grateful they invite me to the chills after the fishing trips. A great day, and cannot wait until I can go on fishing earlier like 5am as Cpt. Andrew suggest, you will caught more fish than you imagine.

Great fishing trip, really friendly crew and skipper. Lots of fish in a very friendly atmosphere with a good sausage sizzle. Can’t wait to go again.

Family gathering to scatter ashes in the bay, yes Melbourne Fishing Charters also cater for Memorial Charters and it was a magical day the crew were great and very respectful and a day made easier by Andre and his crew.
It was a truly lovely morning and coffee and tea plus cake could be had but we were all to engrossed in the moment Thanks Andre for helping us to farewell our parents it was magical a moment to truly treasure Susan A

Headed to the bay to seek out a Snapper, whilst our group missed out a couple of others on the trip did really well.
Lots of small Flathead, and we ended up with 26 or so that were legal, but nothing massive, had 3+ hours of good fishing time, crew were great, friendly and most of all helpful. It’s actually reasonable value seeing as we turned Up absolutely empty handed as everything is supplied. Rods, bait, Coffee, Tea, Few Snags in bread and water,
I would be confident we will be back again at some point, just a good way to spend some time with the lads and enjoy the fishing.
Can think of a lot worse ways to spend the morning.

Bought my under 10 year old son a voucher for his birthday, he's got enough plastic and comics and has wanted to go fishing for a while. Previous experience was Tuki farm, where he caught a couple of trout in the small ponds there (which was fun, although it's a bit artificial), and a fishing charter at Lakes Entrance where all 4 of our family were on board a we caught, from memory, 1 pufferfish and 1 small salmon between us. Wasn't sure how 'here's your present, a voucher' would go but he was very pleased.
For a kid, even just the start - walking out on the pier in the dark, looking back at the city as first light appeared, with balloons over East Melbourne, the sky turning pink to the east - was pretty special. They gave me a coffee, and the young man a hot milo, and the ride out was full of anticipation. Soon he had his first fish, a respectable if undersized pinkie snapper, and we were into it! I worked hard to keep a baited rod in his hand, changing squid regularly (sometimes assisted by the crew) and fishing a bit myself, but you do this as a dad, because watching your kid catching fish and smiling from ear to ear is the best feeling. He caught 10 in the end, which I believe was the biggest catch of the day (about 12 people on the boat in total). 6 pinkies, 4 flathead, including one of the latter over the legal limit. The deckhand filleted it for us and we fried it up in butter and olive oil for lunch back home and it was glorious.
BBQ sausages for morning tea hit the spot (we hadn't caught anything over the minimum size yet).
One or two minor moments I could have used a hand with something, but looking back on it, given there were quite a few people overall and two staff, they did a pretty good job of it as a whole.
So I'm definitely recommending. Good with a kid, would also be good for just a couple of mates hanging out, or a couple, or someone entertaining overseas visitors. There were the views, and also a few big jellyfish swimming by ... oh and a couple of cheeky cormorants that dived down underneath the boat (you could see them swimming in the surprisingly clear waters of the bay) to snatch a few of our hapless, undersized returnees.

We were a group of 10 - 6 kids and 4 adults. There were 3 others (poor people) who were rather experienced fishermen compared to us as complete novices. We were loud and crazy but keen to learn. The crew and the others were super accommodating and really really nice. Andre was particularly good with the boys (aged 10 to 13) and did amazing gutting, slicing, dicing of the fish we caught. Very instructive and very yummy! We ate the flathead both sashimi/cerviche style and on the BBQ. Really quite special.
We were blessed with amazing weather and calm seas - the fish were not really biting unfortunately, but we got enough to get the thrill of the catch and have a taste of it too.
Highly recommend it - thank you!

From the moment we met the guys onboard we felt like we’d known then years! The skipper and the deckhand were both great guys with excellent knowledge and an awesome sense of humour!
We booked a four hour charter as part of my sons bucks party.
There was about 16 of us if I remember rightly.
We sailed out around 10.30. Not an ideal time for fishing but the skip still managed to find us so reasonable marks.
The weather was fine but the sea was pretty choppy. It was long before a few of the boys lost their breakfasts!
The facility’s on the boat were good. Plenty of room for us all to stand, with good quality equipment.
The skipper was happy for us to enter the wheel house and gave us plenty of Info about the area.
Safety briefing was also good.
There was an adequate toilet on board.
They cooked us some good sausages for breakfast. As fish were caught they also cooked us some beautiful Red Snapper and prepared Flathead Sashimi style. Both were excellent.
We didn’t catch loads but all in all had a fantastic day!

They confirm seats for te fishing charter so you rearrange your programme. There was no confirmation from them so I inquired and was told the trip was cancelled all my time and effort wasted. In fact I went all the way to St. Kilda to confirm everything and they do not have any office or address.

Although we didnt catch any 'beauties' the skipper certainly did try to do his best, we went to 3 spots on our 5 hour charter. My son caught 7 small fish (we couldnt keep) the great thing about this trip was the vibe of the staff & skipper. They were professional, happy, knowledgable & didnt even get upset when we kept tangling our lines. It was a great morning out, we had fun & lets face it they cant control the size of the fish. Not only that we were free to move to different parts of the boat, they cooked a BBQ (onions & snags) which were great & the skipper was happy to share his knowledge of fishing in the local area. THANK YOU for a great day out.
