Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great kayaking trip of the Murray River at Gol Gol, minutes from Mildura. After doing this trip with Ian you get to really appreciate the diversity of wildlife and the sensitive nature of our rivers - they are special!! Kayaking is the only way to see the river. Thanks Ian.

Nelly and I went on a kayak tour with Ian just after Easter. Ian our guide was very knowledgeable of the river system and spoke of the Indigenous and colonial history of the area. The paddling was pretty easy and would be suitable for older age groups. The launch system in place for the entry to the river made getting in and out very easy and DRY!

Ian took my family on a 2 hour trip on the Murray’s many billabongs. He was so friendly, and knowledgeable of the habitats and history of the area. Thoroughly enjoyed our trip. If the phone doesn’t answer leave a message as he always gets back to you.

Fabulous time kayaking with Ian & Co. Great way to spend a few hours taking in the beautiful surroundings the Murray has to offer. Ian’s knowledge of the area and history was very insightful. Definitely recommend.

A great way to spend an afternoon. Ian has a wealth of knowledge about local fauna and flora, history of the place, including Aboriginal heritage. Would highly recommend!

Very peaceful and informative afternoon paddle on the Murray. The owner is generous with his knowledge and has lived on the river most of his life. The 1.5 hour tour is very good value for money. Great for experienced or novice canoe paddlers, and very safely run. Would recommend to old and young alike.

I booked the 2 hour tour and was quite excited because I had never been kayaking before. But as our local guide Ian said before there was no experience necessary to have a safe and enjoyable tour - and it was just beautiful! Ian took me and another couple out on the Murray and the billabongs and explained us about the history and nature. His knowledge is really incredible, and it‘s a pleasure listening to him when he points out the different birds and remarkable places and answers the questions you might have. The Murray and the billabongs are a wonderful and peaceful place for kayaking and I thoroughly enjoyed the tour! Thank you, Ian, for your friendly guidance and a great experience!

Local tour guide Ian took us for a 2-hour kayak tour on the Murray River near Mildura. Easy pace for young and old; amazing knowledge of bird- and wildlife along the river. Saw whistling kites, cormorant nest, pelicans in trees! and a large goanna. 13 year old boys loved it. Worth it!
Thanks Ian.

Ian took myself and 7 visitors from Melbourne kayaking for 4 hours last weekend. Definitely do the 4 hours! We had a wonderful time. The kayaking pace was flexible (we went pretty easy), we felt safe and learnt a lot about the local area, birds, trees and history. Ian had snacks, water, and even drove us past the local bottle shop and his house to fix our camping water shortage, on the way back to our car. It was a relaxing and fun day and I will definitely book another adventure soon. Loved it, thank you Ian!
