Really nice wide beach. Very soft sand and well patrolled by the surf life savers.
Was a little disappointed with the waves though - wanted bigger!
Great for familiars, kids, couples or by yourself.

Beautiful beach. Enjoyed walking on the sand and the view of the ocean, simply magnificent. One of Australia's finest

Lake entrance is one of the must-visit destinations in northeastern victoria. it has a small town, along with fishing ports, a beautiful lake, and plenty of family-friendly parks nearby. the best part of this trip was the scenic ferry ride along the channel connecting the Gippsland lakes.

Perfect for the quiet afternoon after lunch and winding down with a cold one. High waves can be expected but warning signs are adequately shown right across.

Had a pleasant walk along the beach very clean and patrolled. The bridge over the inlet from the main street is lovely and the surrounding areas and parks are very clean. Ideal for sitting down and enjoying fish and chips.

You can access the only surf lifesaving patrolled part of 90 Mile Beach here at Lakes Entrance. Access to this beach is by foot (or bike, scooter etc) only - no cars. The footbridge is about 200m long and made of concrete. It was too long for me to do on crutches but I managed with a knee scooter pretty well.
On the township side is still, shallow water (at least if you stay away from the boating lanes) with soft sand and grass verges. Lots of children were playing in this calm and safe side. Over the dune is the beach facing the sea. This beach is wide and the water drops suddenly from shallow to waist height. There are waves and frequently rips and currents. It is glorious but definitely follow the signs and lifeguard instructions.
Accessibility isn't great. On the town side, you need to leave the path and cross uneven sandy grass to get to the water (about 10-20 metres). There is no access to the water direct from a hard surface. To cross the dune to the ocean side, there is a concrete road scattered with sand. It is short but it is steep and once you get to the top it's pure sand all the way from then on.
There are public toilets and showers on both ends of the footbridge. There is also a little shop serving snacks and treats.

Very pretty beach with lots of space on the sand. Rough waves at times so be careful. Lovely area of Victoria, highly recommend

This is a large ocean beach across from the townshipo of Lakes Entarnce and a short walk over the Cunninghame Estuary footbridge. There are large areas of sand and dunes and fairly rough surf. Interesting and wild in contrast to the township.

The beach is brilliant from the surf to the lakes there is 90 miles of beach and even if you dont swim the walk is fantastic. Go out on a boat trip down to Metung and have a great meal overlooking the water.
Go to the Buchan caves (you will not be disappointed). Ask the locals they are all very helpful and will always give you ideas from a local perspective
