Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great river walk/cycle path winding along the Wimmera River. Long suspended footbridge so one can cross the river. Lovely river views, especially sundown and sunrise. Really convenient to the Rivers Edge Caravan Park.

Lovely riverside walk banked with trees and you will get the chance to see the odd pukeko bird.

We spent a delightful and happy time at this venue. The river forms one edge of the area and the other is the road, some 50+m away. The length of the area is hundreds of metres long. There are shelters which contain tables, seats and a BBQ. The lights come on when it gets dark. There are toilets nearby and several play areas for the children (at least one is in a secure area). Car parking is pleantiful and free. We brought plenty of food (snacks and BBQ) and drink and enjoyed a great time with friends and family. One of us even did some fishing in the river, albeit withouit success this time! Very much recommended way of spending an afternoon and evening.

Nice river with a marvelous walk around track (7kms on the loop). Scenic for the entire way and some of the houses built overlooking the river makes you whistle. It is a flat easy walk.

Love this river! Great to wander, jog, bike ride, dog walk or just relax and tune in to the beautiful red gums and Nature in general. Great bird life - pelicans if you are lucky! Well-maintained walking tracks are easily accessible and are on both sides of the river. Lovely on a crisp and frosty morning as well as on a hot summer's day as there's plenty of shade. Plenty of stops for doggy pick-up bags (and drop off bins!). Impressive state of tidiness and lack of litter. Many picnic spots and public seating. A great asset for Horsham and the wider community.

The walk from the main bridge to the weir is excellent. The path is well made and well shaded and for dog lovers there are doggie bag dispensers and bins well placed along the walk. You can cross the footbridge for a round
trip or continue past e weir to the Yanga Track walk. A must for visitors.

After a long day driving we enjoyed a lovely walk along the river. A few nice parks for the kids and looks like they are building a water play space and cafe? Lots of birds to views.

In a generally dry region, pleased to find this picturesque river
running through the heart of Horsham.
Enjoyed walking in eucalypt parklands bordering the river.
Playgrounds and bridges kept tween boys mostly entertained.

The Wimmera River, starts in the Pyrenees between Ararat and Avoca and winds its way north and west to Lake Hindmarsh near Jeparit .In Horsham it flows to the south of the town through park land which is quite picturesque.

Numerous areas you can enjoy river from Horsham to Jeparit. The easiest spots to enjoy in Horsham include Sawyer Park and Weir Park. Excellent playground on adventure island and a recent addition in last couple of years with The Anzac bridge
