Easy going down to the falls, but wow so hard going back up, so many stairs. The additional walk towards fish falls was worth the extra walk. Enjoy

If you're planning a visit to Mckenzie Falls, make the trip early in the morning as the carpark fills up quickly. After reading other reviews, I was expecting a steep walk down but it's really quite quick & easy as long as you don't have issues with steps. The steps are all man made with hand railings (personally I found... More

Ok for the fully fit, hard on your knees with the amount of stairs but worth it in the end. Probably best when not so many visitors as parking could be an issue.

It was Easter long weekend and needless to say the parking was completely filled up. We waited a bit but it just didn't seem like we will get a spot and we happily skipped visiting this place. While I appreciate the staffs guiding you for the parking and the detour plan, I'm with mixed thoughts on whether something more can... More

People have a problem with walking back up the steps....my problem is the windy drive to get there! Beautiful, stunning and well worth it. Great to sit on the rocks and take in your surroundings.

Steps don (and backup) to the falls can be a task but well worth it. If into an adventure walk, park at Zumsteins and to the track along the river. Track is reasonably flat and minimal stairs (yes, there are some) and you will see Fish Falls and then onto McKenzies. Best time to visit is probably in Spring but... More

This place is a MUST DO! We were told that it was challenging but as you went down the steep steps you're too distracted by the beautiful surroundings to even thinks about it. And when you reach the falls it's so intoxicating you want to do it all over again. A picnic and a relaxing rest at the bottom, what... More

We walked the track down to the lowest level of the Mackenzie Falls. Except for 3 tourists from Switzerland, we had the place to ourselves. A little overcast, however the photos taken are superb! Although the walking is down hill, one of the tourists (a lady in her 60s) did the walk and beyond with the aid of a walking... More

We had high expectation based on other reviews, but it turned out that McKenzie falls was just an average waterfalls to us. You are required to walk one big round down to see the waterfall, and walk back up the steps. Well, if you are making a trip there, do spend some time to picnic and enjoy the view &... More

Only 2km return from the carpark with an elevation of 110 metres, this walk is well worthwhile. I'd grade it medium to the falls but easy to the lookout. You start at the McKenzies Falls carpark and follow the signs. The lookout is accessed via a short, sealed walking track from MacKenzie Falls Carpark. The initial section is steep, but... More
