Very pleasant location right on waterfront. Nice view of Marina and moorings. "Yot Cafe" very good and prices reasonable. Can sit inside or outside or on adjacent verandah. Bar and function facilities. Club well member oriented.

Lovely atmoaephere and music was good.
However, the wait for a tepid toastie and coffee was far too long. Disappointed.

This yacht club has quite a marina housing dozens and dozens of boats of all shapes and sizes. I quite like the boardwalk open to the public just to the left side of the marina. This boardwalk stretches for a few hundred meters and seems a popular stop for recreational fishing.

We returned today to the Royal Geelong Yacht Club. Just as last time, the food was terrific, the service wonderful, the staff very friendly, and as a bonus there was live music!
The only problem is the unbelievably long wait for our meals and later, coffee. There is obviously a lot of work to be done here. Perhaps the menu is too big for the tiny kitchen to handle, perhaps there aren’t enough people working in the kitchen, perhaps the chef lacks leadership skills. Whatever it is, things need to change. From ordering a meal or coffee to waiting time, something is wrong with the system and it needs to be looked at immediately. It would be a shame if this fantastic little cafe in perfect surroundings was to fail because of a lack of organizational skills, but fail it will unless this is sorted our quickly. There is just too much competition close by that get it just right.

Dropped in to the restaurant for a quick brunch. What a surprise! The Sunday market was on, but there was (surprisingly) still plenty of parking right outside.
The staff could not have been more helpful and we ordered Bacon and Egg rolls and coffee to be enjoyed out on sunny deck with beautiful views across the Marina.
My wife said that her Mocha was the best she had tasted (and she orders Mocha wherever we go). I enjoyed my coffee too, but the Bacon and Egg roll was truly wonderful - crisp, filled to overflowing and piping hot.
We lingered to enjoy the view, and will absolutely return for lunch and/or dinner.
But don’t tell anyone - this is a hidden treasure on Geelong Waterfront.

The tenders to shore off our cruise ship docked here. The people were very nice, the boats were impressive, and the public can eat here with a fine water view.

Some evenings in the summer there are member regattas to watch, and there are larger regattas throughout the year.

They sell cool gear, also.

Good place for a drink and a rest.

Came here while looking for an eatery that does some good but basic food due to gastrointestinal issues. Eg. A basic burger.

When I explained to the staff member, Abi, and that I am allergic to bacon she was great about explaining my options and talking to the chef to see what they could do. After the chef advised her that they cook bacon on the same grill as the burgers, she was very thorough about checking how allergic I am before putting the order through to ensure I wouldn’t get sick. I assured her that I only have reactions if I actually eat the bacon and it’s not life threatening (stomach upsets.) Abi relayed this to the chef and ensured the meat was cooked at the opposite end away from the bacon.

The burger I received was quite tasty and the chips were nice, crisp and golden brown in colour. Food was hot and fresh so no complaints on my part.

There’s an assortment of other hot food, including an all day breakfast, plus sandwiches/wraps and baked goods in the cabinet so most people could find something to eat there (except maybe vegans) without any issues.
