Not the best experience.States free wine tasting but there is a charge to taste false advertising. Brought a bottle of wine then had to pay extra $5 each to have a glass feel trying to get every dollar out of you. Service just ok

Spent a Sunday here recently . . . . . . what a hidden treasure!! Fantastic location on the Murray River - beautiful grassed area for having a picnic plus a vine covered verandah at the cellar door where we enjoyed a delicious home made pizza cooked in the pizza oven right there! Beers and soft drinks can be purchased plus any of their great wines by the glass or bottle. They only do light meals but welcome you taking your own picnic which I found amazingly generous but the owner said he loves seeing people on the lawn enjoying the place! Thoroughly recommend for service, value and location. Call to find out the opening hours and then take the drive (gravel road) if you are visiting Echuca - you wont be disappointed!! . . . . and if you do take a picnic I hope you will at least buy your drinks there!!

Partner and l went out to the winery for lunch on New Year's Day.
About 20 minutes from Echuca, firstly on the bitumen, some dirt road and then onto the Cape Horn entrance road for 3 kms on the most corrugated road l have ever driven on.
Cannot understand why they could not get the grader out just to grade the road.
Plenty of people out for lunch, but it was NYD.
Choice of small pizzas for $25, or a cheese platter for $25.
We chose the cheese platter to share.
Three cheeses on the platter, nothing special.
A cheddar, tasty and a blue cheese.
Asked if we would like a blue cheese, we stated, yes.
Not sure what the third cheese would have been if we said no.
The platter also had very small bowls of dried apricots, black olives, sun dried tomato skins, two cheese sticks and dry crackers.
Expensive.
A glass of wine purchased was served in a clear plastic container.
Drinking white wine out of a clear plastic container in the middle
of a hot summer's day is not enjoyable.
You could buy a glass at a cost.
If it was not for it's position on the Murray River, doubt very much if they would get the patronage.
This winery needs to seriously look at their cost of food, and customers who purchase a glass of wine should have it poured into a proper wine glass for the price we had to pay.
Captive audience, disappointing winery experience.
Better wineries in the area to visit.

Together with overseas visitors and after trying to get into other wineries for lunch we decided to try Cape Horn. What a wonderful surprise this was. Our visitors like ourselves have travelled extensively around the world and we all commented that this winery without all the commercial trappings that go with industry these days is a little gem.
Sitting beside the Murray river you can sit in the silence (no radio blaring) on a table on the grass with a few chooks wandering around and their two old dogs that hope a scrap or two falls to the ground. There is also a vine covered area to sit under or dine inside the tasting room.
Order a pizza and its cooked in the outdoor pizza oven and bought to you and its a real pizza, delicious. We tasted and had a range of their wines, all delicious and beer and soft drinks are available.
Its a bit of trip out on the unmade road but believe me well worth the effort.
We cannot wait to visit again.

We stopped here for a pizza lunch by the river whilst doing a trip through the North East Victoria Silo Art Trail during Easter - and LOVED it. Whilst driving there along the long dirt road we wondered where we would end up but all of a sudden we were at this huge winery with HEAPS of cars and people (it was Easter after all! They have the buzzers so you don't have to stand at the counter waiting for it to cook) - it was 2pm so we weren't sure if we could get a table but they said if you find one grab it - and we did! But even if we hadn't, it would have been lovely sitting on the grass anyway. WIthin an hour there were more empty tables! There was a 50min wait for the pizza due to the crowds but we didn't mind, it was SO wonderful just watching the river, the boats and jetskis, the kookaburras and enjoying behind in such a wonderful setting. And when the pizza was ready, it was wonderful! I would highly recommend a visit here for anyone going to Echuca - whether by car or by boat! I also loved the entertainment, there was a guitarist/singer (Lokki Acoustic) and the music was so great to listen too.

What a lovely place. We dropped in here on Australia Day. We didn’t have a reservation and were still welcomed.

We enjoyed a few sparkling shiraz and a lovely pizza from their wood fire ovens

This is a great location, on the banks of the river among the trees. The food is a bit overpriced for what you get. We also waited AGES for our food, but they were very busy. I didn't really like getting the drinks in plastic, and I wasn't interested in purchasing a glass I don't need. Just ok.

We had a lovely afternoon at Cape Horn Vineyard June Long Weekend! We had a group of forty adults, teenagers and a few younger kids. Food was great, wine was lovely and the outlook gorgeous. The fire pits were a great idea also, because although it was sunny it was still cool. The musician you had for the afternoon was amazing also - great range of music and the volume was great (not too loud!). My only suggestion would be a few games like pétanque, or board games for the teenagers.. Very enjoyable!

This vineyard is 20 minutes drive from Echuca after a not pleasant 6 km in a dirt road, we found this small vineyard on the peaceful banks on the Murray river, beautiful location, but need to much improvement, the customer service is very bad, they don’t have to much staff, they are not very friendly and unhelpful except with the locals, it’s self service.
The tasting area is the same counter where you order the food, so it’s not very practical. Don’t expect gourmet food, pizzas are average, small, bad taste and expensive $25, the same for a chesse plater $25.
I found the wines are not very good and are expensive for its quality, the only nice are the music and the tables on the lawn with the nice view. I wouldn’t recommend this place.
