Came here for breakfast, shared a scone with my sister which was certainly sufficient. Coffee was good. Picnic tables and a nice grassy area in which to eat. Tasted 3 different varieties of strawberry, chose the one we liked best but there were only 3 rows of that variety. Filled up my container with another variety which was not a problem as they still tasted good. Picking is fun, there was mud between the rows of strawberries and we saw one chap with plastic booties covering his shoes, but we didn't bother. Staff were very helpful. $9 per 500g (including the $3 entry) is more than you'd pay in a supermarket, but given that we ate as we picked and the picking itself was fun, I would happily go back.

That is an excellent review thanks Loki_crazycat!
You've encapsulated the PYO Experience beautifully... Fun to pick, fun to eat, best fresh off the plant!
We can't wait to host you again at our farm and be sure to check out our strawberry ice cream or some of the preserves when next stopping by! We'd love to hear your comments on those as well :->

We popped into The Strawberry Pick yesterday, such a fun morning!
Entry was $3 per person and then you could buy either a 500g container for $6 or a 1kg container for $12 for your strawberries to go in. You were also able to sample the berries as you picked them!
We thought this way of doing things was much better than the other strawberry farm we visit in NSW, where entry is free but you aren’t allowed to sample and you weigh your berries when you’re done - sometimes getting a big shock at the price!
The strawberries were plump and juicy, we ate some when we finished picking, then ate the rest on the bank of the Murray River with some Nutella, yum!
There was a cute caravan selling some strawberry flavoured treats plus coffee however as we only had one day in Echuca we had to quickly move onto our next activity and didn’t have time to have anything, it sounded delicious though!
Definitely recommend visiting The Strawberry Pick!

It’s a nice little drive to the paddock, not very far at all! For only $3 per person to access the paddock and for the experience is an amazing and such an affordable price! It costs $6 for a half a kilo container and $12 for a kilo container. This to me is also very affordable considering you are picking the strawberries with your own hands and they are very ripe, fresh and delicious! 😋 This is a great place to come with kids or even just the adults! We had lots of fun and will be back again every time I visit Echuca!

We took one of our grandchildren here for the first time to pick strawberries and take them home to her family for dessert. She thoroughly enjoyed the experience and it was a pleasure to walk up and down the rows of strawberries assisting with making decisions about what she should pick to take home. Certainly a great experience and well worth the time. Yes will do it again.

It is great to have a nice review, but even better to hear the story of where and how our strawberries were used!
I think in this age of technology, we see kids out in the patch having the time of their lives, eating healthy berries and wanting 'more' of the good stuff. We hope to see you and the Grand kids on your next visit :->

Pricing was really reasonable and the fact you could eat what you wanted while there was fantastic. My 9month old at the time had an absolute ball crawling around and sampling the fresh strawberries. Super family friendly, wish we had got more to take home as they tasted delicious. The only thing I would have liked would be a nice seating area, there is some but it could be improved considering how busy the place gets. We will definitely be visiting time and time again in the years to come.

That sounds like an amazing day and thanks so much for making time to give this excellent feedback.
As we speak, I am actually planning the design on some natural log seating, which I felled myself in my parents sustainable family bush property. Getting busier is a great problem for us to have and hopefully next time, I will have put my carpentry hat on, machined some bush log seating on our grass area and have some fun seats for the kids to sit on whilst they enjoy their ice-cream or a milkshake perhaps. ;->

We had a great morning here!! My best friend suggested we go for a day trip to Echuca & pick some strawberries. I'd never done it before & it was a great morning. Cheap to do & the strawberry & balsamic ice-cream is amazing. Highly recommend doing.

We are very pleased that your first experience picking was great and we very much appreciate you recommending us to others thinking of taking a trip out to do some picking!
Some of our most regular pickers had never experienced picking fresh strawberries before we started a few years ago and now they can't get enough - which is exactly what we love hearing.
Hope to see you back again soon and if you've got friends you'd think would like picking strawbs (who wouldn't right :->) we'd love you to send them out to try us out also.
Thanks again.

What a great place to spend an hour or so. Great scrumptious strawberries, friendly staff in the little caravan at the entrance, and OMG what wonderful home made ice-cream. Not only for tourists but locals as well.

Visited today and had a great time with our young children. Was interesting how different the varieties were when you could taste them side by side. Kids had a great time! My 3yr old now understands strawberries grow on plants and don't just come from the supermarket. Very simple, basic fun.

You've explained our business perfectly!
We wanted to build a business that was Simple, Fun and also a bit educational, and of course grow the best varieties of strawberries for PYO.
Thanks for the feedback and hope to see you again soon.

after getting lost we arrived at the paddock,we selected the cartons we required then payed fee for paddock entry and fee for containers, total $27.00 for1 large container and 1 small container, thought it was a lot cheaper to go to the supermarket and save petrol as well.my grandson enjoyed it.

Hi Denise M,
Thanks for visiting the farm and we're very pleased to hear your grandson enjoyed his experience.
We're sorry however that you weren't content with the price of your experience and strawberries, however I'd like to explain why we do what we do, so that you might hopefully appreciate our pricing structure.
Primarily, our business is based on the premise of an 'enjoyable fun experience' and 'premium flavor strawberries'.
For the experience, at $3 per person, we feel the cost is about as cheap as we can afford, and we believe it's great value especially since it allows sampling in the field of 3 different varieties. Keeping the farm open for Pick Your Own requires staffing, insurances and running costs, so we just couldn't have a PYO farm open to the public without a small entry fee per person.
The supermarket strawberries are indeed sometimes cheaper in the peak strawberry season, however we believe that our strawberries are superior in flavor and indeed freshness.
We set our price at $12 per kg for the entire season, so that it is consistent for repeat visitors all season long. We also currently offer a bulk buy deal, where if getting 3 kg or more the price per kg goes down to $10/kg.
We hope that this helps to understand how the farm works and look forward to seeing you again soon.
Regards,
Matt
