Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Large pottery producing straightforward stoneware of designs that feel good under the hand, and not unreasonably priced. Shares a site with a glass-worker, a wine merchant, a sculptor and other artistic enterprises. A nice way to spend a sunny June afternoon.

We signed up for a half hour session on the pottery wheel as a family, $20 each. Got to make two items each with the assistance of a potter & then choose if we wanted to get the. items glazed and fired. (extra cost). Was heaps of fun, a unique, possibly once in a lifetime experience. The decorating class looked interesting too, maybe on our next visit to Bendigo!

I recommend doing the interpretive tour if visiting for the first time it is very interesting. Also if the lovely lady at the glass beads shop is making beads make sure you go in, very informative and friendly. Beautiful works as well. Antique area also nice to visit.

So pleased to visit Bendigo Pottery as their products have been around for many, many decades!
The complex is clean, well set out, easy to move around and the staff were all lovely, particularly Tracey on the front counter. There is a cafe on site as well and plenty of free parking.
In the pottery there is a potter you can watch at work and there are lots of lovely pottery pieces to browse. Next door is an awesome Collectables market where we found many treasures but had to narrow it down to just a couple!
We stopped in at the studio of artist, Joan Harris, to whom we had a great chat. Really liked her collages. We also stopped at the Goldfields Providore run by Jeff Hooley who was very friendly and helpful. We were disappointed to see the Glenwillow Wines shop was not open.
Highly recommended! There is no entry fee either!

Midway stop for lunch (we were on our way to NW Victoria). Wonderful, wish we had more time to explore! Bought detox tea from WA, small art piece by Yvonne George, cufflinks, enjoyed a delicious lunch at the cafe (scones, tea & quiche) and an intentional purchase of one lasagne dish with the Bendigo Pottery factory mark.

Even though the pottery exhibition was interesting the service was not good. The sales person who was looking for a specific item for me did not give me an answer and I had to approach the counter after waiting for quite a while for the feedback.
The cafe was quite disappointing with potato that was not fully cooked and a very long wait for the coffees.
Perhaps we visited on a not so good day?
The glass bead making was interesting and had superb jewelry and other items

We visited the Bendigo Pottery last week and found it really interesting. There is lots to see as well as really interesting pottery items to buy to suit many tastes. The cafe serves great coffee with wonderfully fresh food also available. The artisan workshops and displays adjacent are amazing. Attached to the pottery is a vintage shop that held many surprises. We easily spent a couple of hours meandering around the whole complex.

This place was recommended to us from a friend and we were definitely impressed by it. Apparently the place has been around since 1858.... just a while ago :)
But if you are looking for an activity that will take a couple of hours or more, if you wish to learn about the ancient pottery place, see its internal museum, even buy antiques as they have a showroom in the back with all sorts of things (not only pottery. If you wish to see the staff making the pottery live, or even if you want to make it by yourself, here you can do all that as I believe they have workshops and classes for beginners and advanced persons.
They also have a nice cafe, where you can have either lunch, snacks, coffee, tea, sweets, cakes, etc.
A place that will keep you definitely entertained to the fullest and if you go into the detail, it may take even half a day.
I leave you all here with their contact details so that you can either arrange courses, visits or simply understand where are they located. As follows:
Physical Address: 146 Midland Highway, Epsom - VIC 3551 Australia
Telephone: +61 3 5448 4404 - Email: info@bendigopottery.com.au
Postal Address: PO Box 30, Epsom Vic 3551 Australia
Bendigo Pottery is open from 9.00am to 5.00pm every day of the week.
Apparently closed on Christmas Day and other important holidays, but you'll have to inform yourself for this. This place is a must and we highly recommend it. Enjoy the pictures we posted for you.
As usual we recommend you to enjoy our profile and we always encourage our readers to please keep reading and liking our very interesting and in depth reviews on everything: Attractions, Hotels, Restaurants, Museums, Airports and basically anything that is of interest and has a public service. Stay tuned.

We arrived about 2pm and had a good light lunch at the cafe onsite. The pottery display (on sale) was extensive and the historic kilns very interesting. Had an interesting conversation with one of the potters working at the time and then a wander around the antiques and collectibles area afterwards. Stopped in the gallery and tasted some local wines on the way out. Well worth the visit.

.. Unfortunately it was a extremely hot day when we visited but we were greeted by very friendly staff who offered each of us a complimentary iceblock. The pottery is beautiful and of high quality and it was interesting to watch a couple of visitors participating in a pottery class. The antique section was enjoyable to stroll through and a few laughs were had upon finding some treasures, that triggered old memories. Even though it was hot, many large fans were circulating and we were even given a second icy pole upon leaving, which was greatly appreciated. I would certainly recommend visiting Bendigo pottery even if you find yourself there on a stinking hot day ..

Do you provide have a go pottery classes? We are coming to visit in early october and my budding artist daughter would love to try her hand at p0ttery.

There are no Pottery classes and you are not allowed to look inside the pottery. Maybe on special days there are children workshops. You can watch a potter on the weel at certain hours.
