Green relief in hot summers

It's marvellous that the city has such a big, green, tree-filled park near its centre. The topography is varied and you can enter from a few different directions.

Last night they had the annual tree lighting. We weren't there for the main event but went and had a look

Love to ride to work across Bendigo each morning - the highlight is riding through Rosalind Park - go different ways - past the glorious trees on the flat or past the Botanic Gardens and then past the water cascading from the Poppet Head to the pool on the Hill. Stop and grab a coffee after 8.00am at the Art... More

Rosalind park has something for everyone. If you want run, walk, play cricket or ride a bike through it. There is even a great play ground for the kids and lots of picnic spots to enjoy.

It's hard to believe this plot of land was once a rubbish tip. Fortunately, almost 160 years ago, someone had the foresight to preserve these 60 acres for parkland, with the result that Bendigo now has one of the finest central City parks/gardens in regional Australia. It's right on Pall Mall and it is a wonderfully relaxing, even uplifting spot.... More

Gorgeous Gardens, Fernery, Walkways. Lovely place to go for a stroll, good variety of plants, well established. Always feels a few degrees cooler so perfect on a warm day. There are a lot of bats in the fernery section which you can see during the day, of an evening the possums come out to play.

A open area park with lots of old European trees and will keep gardens, at the end of the park opposite the Chinese museum is a area with rainforest trees were fruit bats have made their home

I'm a local and have spent and increased amount of time here lately. It is great to have a bit of nature in the middle of the city that you can go to chill out and get away from the concrete streets. It's a nice place to go for a stroll during lunch or after work, or just if you... More

Wonderfully kept parkland and we were lucky enough to be in Bendigo when tne Jazz festival was on. Rosalind park was host to free jazz through out the day.

In the heart of town, this charming park was so appealing to the eye late October (after a very wet spring). It is a veritable jewellery box of ornaments and ornamentals, its little compartments luring you further and further in from the entrance. A quaint conservatory, garden statuary, a plethora of blooming roses, an evocative aqueduct and bridges into a... More
