Bakery Hill is an historic part of Ballarat with some great architecture and good retail outlets. Unfortunately though, the local youths seem to overrun the place and completely ruin the safety and enjoyment aspects so be careful if visiting.

Very busy with a variety of businesses. It is worth exploring the shops. Good parking and close to the Ballarat Mall.Free parking available at Cheap as Chips to walk over to Mall.

The well kept roundabout with the Eureka flag is the highlight of the area. There is historic plaque nearby explaining it's significance. There are some appealing buildings in the area, albeit quiet. Thanks for the vote if you found this review helpful.

This is a great place to go for a walk viewing the architecture of buildings from the gold rush. One used to be a rather large jail. Then have lunch at the Catfish Thai, Munster Arms Hotel

Liked looking the old buildings / shops in the Shopping Mall. Found the mall was okay to walk around with ease.

Old and tired, but lots of shops, although many not open on Sunday. A general air of neglect around the area.

It is an interesting area of Ballarat with some old buildings and some history but some parts are a little tacky with chain restaurants. It could be better but may be too late.
