Great Independent Craft Beer
Apr. 2021
Red Duck are a great independent craft brewery with a terrific selection of beers. 6 taps (5beers and a guest Ginger Beer) on tap plus a wider range in cans. All beers were really good and well worth trying, with them all different but very drinkable. The Expresso Joe Coffee Dark Lager was a standout. Only issue was that I was driving, so limited how many beers I would try.

But that was solved by picking up a party slab with a mixture of their canned beers so I can enjoy the rest later to try the full range.

Drop in, sit in the brewery and see the process in action, try the beers and chat to the friendly owners.

Great Beer
Mar. 2021 • Couples
As we travel I always make a point of visiting the local craft breweries. Red Duck is by far the best I have come across. The range is extensive and the quality is exceptional. I will usually buy a six pack to support the small brewers and occasionally buy a slab if I come across something really good and distinctive. At Red Duck I bought five slabs! The beers are not cheap, but if you are prepared to pay for exceptional quality, you won't be disappointed. Oh, the gin they sell is pretty good too.

Enjoyable craft beers
Jan. 2021
Whilst in Ballarat I tasted this local brew in several of the local restaurants.

I noticed they had a stall at the Creswick Market so dropped in and purchased a quack pack and they kindly replaced the apple cider with another beer for me.

I'm all for supporting local operators, as this boutique craft brewery is a Ballarat local but feel the prices are a little high.

Anyway the beers are great and so many varieties to choose from.

worth the detour from town
Nov. 2019
We stayed in Ballarat for 1 night on our drive back from the Grampians & were keen to try the beers at Red Duck after reading about how passionate they are about making quality brews. Tasting paddle did not disappoint & we bought a mixed 6-pack of our favourites so we could enjoy in back home.
They only have small bar snacks so suggest visiting after you have eaten lunch!

Worth having a tasting
Dec. 2019
While staying in Ballarat we decided to visit the brewery.
It is in a shed in the industrial area and has been well set up .
Also there is Kilderkin Distillery where they make pretty serious gin.
The lady who looked after us was quite friendly and allowed us to go out the back and look at the distillery machinery.
At the front is the sales shop and tasting area .
One of our group tried a beer , the rest of us had the gin tasting, got to taste four different gins, all nice but boy they are powerful.
It is well done and we enjoyed it, well worth a visit especially if you like crafted beers and gin .

Good beer and gin flight
Aug. 2019 • Solo
Visited Red Duck micro-brewery several weeks ago on a cold rainy day. A Very quaint brewery with seating in the barrel house. Very good place to try the local brew or a flight of beer. The Blood of Ra by far is excellent. The brewery Also has a Gin Distillery attached the kilderkin distillery for those who interested in a strong spirit. I had a gin and beer flight that was by far fantastic. The Larriken bush tucker gin is worth the visit. Overall a very friendly and great experience for those looking for a great brew or gin on a cold rainy day.

Good stop for a cheeky gin
Aug. 2019 • Couples
This place is very cute. Nothing high tech about the Red Duck Micro Brewery (maybe apart from the brewing!). On a cold Ballarat day we sat on a table by the heaters and tried a couple of gin tasting paddles. Beautifully presented with ice and mixer and citrus. You can order a cheese platter if you with. The stout beer was great, a nice change. A very relaxing visit, thanks.

Excellent gins

Hidden gem in industrial area of Ballarat. Do yourself a favor and visit. Jack behind the bar was a connoisseur of the gin range and very knowledgeable about other attractions to visit. His advice on tasting the gin paddle was very helpful.
