My significant other saw in excess of forty species in a little over an hour and a half. So many bird friendly hides (natural and reclaimed) to sit and wait for them to appear.

The Lake is a mixture of events, history, walkers, runners, riders and with a 6k walk around it is a wonderful place to spend lots of time. Excellent eating places, watch the rowing or just sit and take in the wild life and beauty.

We drove around the lake as it was raining. There would be so much to do on a nice day. We noticed all of the black swans just sitting around on the footpath and in the lake- simply amazing place

Contact Ballarat Tourist Information at the Town Hall (03) 5337 4337 they will be able to answer this and more info about what else you can do whilst you are in Ballarat - I found them very helpful when I was there in May.

If you mean the tennis centre in Sebastopol, it is approximately 5.5 kms from Lake Wendouree.
