Andrew is very knowledgeable. We thoroughly enjoyed our day hiking and sightseeing around the Grampians - we learnt a lot about the formation of the Grampians and the local wildlife

This is a comfortable walking tour, medium paced and not too hilly. Andrew was friendly, knowledgeable and passionate…what more can one ask? As a history buff, this tour was right up my alley. Interesting facts, beautifully preserved architecture. Would definitely recommend.

Oddest tour I've ever taken. We took the 90 minute train ride to Ballarat only to have Andrew drive us another 90 minutes to Bendigo. (The train goes directly to Bendigo in a lot less than 3 hrs.) If we had stopped anywhere to see anything related to the gold mines in the area, I could understand the detour but we just drove there. Andrew is very nice so I gently tried to indicate that we'd like to stop in the town with the many mineral waters and that there were things to see in the town where we had a bathroom break, but we just went on. To be fair we did meet Andrew a whole hour late so this may have affected the schedule but he indicated that we missed only the morning tea. With the exception of a very general overview there wasn't much info offered while on the road other than some reading material.

Andrew started by taking us around to see a tiny bit of Ballarat's old downtown and homes. That could really be expanded.

In Bendigo the mine tour was terrific and the little tram was interesting. We saw about an hour and a half of the sights in Bendigo. There would have been more but many things are closed on Mondays and we weren't interested in the pottery factory.

You could easily do the gold mine tour on your own. Take the V line train from Melbourne directly to Bendigo and catch a city bus downtown and to the other sites. Andrew took good care of us, so if you want that level of help don't start in Ballarat unless you get a detailed itinerary showing sights on the way to Bendigo. It's just a waste of your tour time.

Andrew picked us up promptly from our accommodation. And presented us with a complimentary bottle of wine.He had a lot of knowledge of the region as we travelled to the wineries. We had a beautiful platter of food and a glass of wine at Blue Pyrenees Estate. We visited lots of wineries in the region and had a wonderful time.

Sent the day with Andrew on a wine tour in the Pyrenees Wine region.
Had a great time visiting several quaint little wineries doing some tasting. Had a magnificent lunch at the Blue Pyrenees Estate.
Bought some great wines, that we will enjoy in the future while casting our memory back to this great tour.

Andrew has a great knowledge of the area and all the activities available

We just completed a wonderful Grampians day tour with Andrew. Absolutely lovely gent, so very knowledgeable about all the geology, geography, plants and animals we came across during our half day hike then remainder of day 4x4 tour through the region. We have been coming the Grampians for 18 years but today learnt so many new things about this environment. We highly recommend this tour

Recently we did a Pyrenees Wine Tour with Andrew. Andrew was promptly on time for pick up from our accommodation and we had the best day touring with him. HIs knowledge of the wine region was excellent and the 5 wineries we went to were the smaller boutique ones which we find are always the best. The wines were superb and the lunch at Blue Pyrenees was delicious. Do yourself a favour and book a tour with this company, you won't be disappointed.

My husband and I enjoyed a beautifully curated day tour of the southern Grampians. andrew was a superb guide, delivering an incredible amount of interesting, impressive and relevant information in a relaxed, easy to understand style.
Our morning hike was just right, learning about local geology whilst admiring beautiful views and catching a glimpse local wildlife. Our afternoon 4WD adventure delivered surprise after surprise - stunning views from unexpected places, gorgeous waterholes and enjoying local BirdLife.
Andrew is an exceptional guide - we were fortunate to enjoy his company for our Grampians Day Out!

We recently had Andrew take us on the Pyrenees Wine Tour. As a host, Andrew was punctual, informative, flexible with where we wanted to go and accommodating to every need.

Andrew took us to wineries with beautiful scenery and great atmosphere, while lunch at Blue Pyrenees Estate was delicious and beyond our expectations. We were quite the lovely bunch and Andrew participated in our banter.

I highly recommend Golden Nugget Discovery Tours for a fun day out and would absolutely book again!
