Baptised here and still visiting

Beautiful cathedral in the centre of the city. Stained glass is truly stunning and the quiet atmosphere restful.

It lacked information. It lacked good lighting. It felt soulless and uninspiring. No candles, no precious sanctuary, no warm greeting - this was a very sad experience!

The cathedral is probably the mist impressive church in Ballarat although it has plenty of competition

The building is amazing, as good and if not better than some others I have looked at in my travels. How the trades could create such beauty with the tools available to them at the time, is simply amazing. As an Atheist I envy the buildings available to christians, maybe we should build a building for us? then what would... More

St Patrick's Cathedral is a simple and beautiful cathedral. Didn't expect that from the outside. There is a gentle atmosphere and we appreciated its simplicity and its character. Hard to explain. See for yourself...

St Patrick's Cathedral is situated in the centre of this beautiful city on the magnificent tree lined Sturt Street. The architecture is predominately Gothic and has been carefully and lovingly maintained over the years. In a time when many of our beautiful churches are being sold off it is reassuring to still have these magnificent heritage buildings in our city.... More

A beautiful cathedral with a lovely atmosphere that can only be obtained by lots of prayer. Worthwhile visiting.

Went to mass here and there was a baptism too, it was very nice. The priest made everyone feel very welcomed and met everyone as they left the church.

Located in the centre of Ballarat, this is a large church rather than a cathedral, but it is worth having a look because it gives a good peek into the history of Ballarat. There is an informative brochure to follow or you can book a great guide to tell you all the stories.
