The museum has a number of permanent exhibits and an ever-changing display of vehicles from all eras. At the time of our visit they had a $2million car on display. So exciting for the car fans in our family, two went back again! Very clean, with cars detailed every day and very friendly and knowledgable staff. Easy to get to... More

Every person visiting Launceston should do themselves a favor and take a look at this amazing car and motor bike museum. The quality and presentation of these vehicles is second to none and most are privately owned and on loan so the public can drool over the old and not so old all under one roof.

We really liked this place. My teenager was enthralled by the old cars and the new. We could have oohed and ahaad for longer but had another engagement.

Trip down memory lane with the motorbikes! Great story of car that lived through the hobart bridge disaster.

Not just for car buffs. Although run by volunteers this is a very professionally run and well thought out museum. All the cars are on loan from their owners so Launceston must have more than its fair share of vintage car buffs. Highly recommended

Visited this museum whilst in Launceston. It is well worth the price of the admission as there are some sensational cars there. The mix of cars, bikes and information is amazing. I am old enough to remember some of the cars being launched when new and look at them compared with today's cars and think how basic they were.. Still... More

With it's close proximity to Launceston CBD access to this little gem is easy. The exhibits are exceptional with a large representation from Australia's glorious horsepower heyday! It's easy to spend at least 1/2 a day admiring these quality exhibits. The staff are excellent and always available to give background information on any of the cars or motor cycles. The... More

I don't consider myself a car lover but do like nice things. This little museum was full of classic cars from long ago and not so long ago. Staff also very friendly.

We visited on a day for no charge for seniors. Met the owner of one of the cars as many are owned by local people. Worth a visit.

This a a smal gem. I understand they change around the exhibitions from time to time but both the cars and the motorcycles were scrupulously clean and well presented, with some of the explanatory material being particularly interesting, especially the motorcycle history. Not quite sure what is "national" about it, though.
