    Good pizza and beer
The parking is in front on the streets or you can park behind the restaurant . They serve amazing pizzas here . We bought 4 and could not finish as the portions were big . We also had the 4 beers - tasting paddle for $18. A good place for lunch and beer .

    A MUST DO IN LAUNCESTON
Booked a tour of the James Boag Brewery and what a wonderful tour it was. Rachel our guide was very informative and her presentation was spot on. Being able to see all the processes involved to create a carton of beer was very interesting. The tasting at the end of the tour was also a lovely way to finish up. High recommend.

    Boag's tour
The tour guide was very informative, and displayed a good knowledge of brewing. Boag's brewery has a very impressive setup of the production of beer. Anyone visiting Launceston should do this tour and also sample the different types of beers they have to offer.

Boags Brewery Tour - A Must Do in Launceston!
The brewery tour was one of the highlights of our Launceston visit with relatives from Canada. The tour guides were extremely knowledgeable and funny at the same time which made the whole tour very interesting and informative. The brewery itself is state of the art and produces an amazing amount of beer per day. The taste testing after the tour was awesome as some of the beers are only available in Tasmania (pity) and allowed all of us to get a good appreciation of the different beers they produce. We highly recommend this tour and will be doing it again when we next visit Launceston.

    Fun brewery tour
A fun tour of Boags Brewery. Rachel did a great job as guide, knowledgeable and interacting with the group. She wrangled one pesky tourist diplomatically. Beer tasting at then end was enjoyable. So much fun we stayed on for lunch and bought the merchandise. Recommended.

An excellent experience in the beautiful city of Launceston
The Boag's Brewery tour was extremely interesting with our guide's knowledge being very extensive. We were amazed at the size and complexity of the brewery which is largely hidden from general view. From the delivery of raw ingredients, all locally produced, to the exit of semi-trailers laden with packaged beer bound for outlets all over the country, it is a class-act all the way. An experience not to be missed, completed with lunch at kitchen in the period headquarters, also excellent and exceptional value.

Tour was very informative and well delivered
Tour guide Corey ( the side show bob look alike sorry mate) was great at his job and showed a lot of passion and knowledge. He had a few tourists that spoke very little English but did a great job to help and involve them in the tour.. It was very informative and im pretty sure he deserves a pay rise.. Thanks, bob

    History and Great Taste
I was treated to an excellent brewery tour by Corey. He was engaging, funny and knowledgeable. Our tour group contained some non-drinkers and they were treated no differently to anyone else. Boag's has an interesting history and it produces high quality beer. Our tasting at the end of the tour was proof-positive! I recommend this experience for beer lovers and their friends and family.

    Excellent hospitality and informative
What a fantastic experience learning about the history of the Boags family and also Launceston in general. Corey, our guide, was a great host with a lot of knowledge and wonderful stories about the local area. We had a very interactive group, which made for good banter for the tour of the brewery.. Oh, and the beers were very easy to drink, could have stayed all afternoon in the warm and friendly atmosphere. Highly recommend, even better on Mondays - Wednesdays when the manufacturing is in operation..

Boags Brewery has seen many changes over the centuries. Our tour guide Shannon was so informative & had a great sense of humour allowing the group to imagine days when the brewery started.
Seeing the process of beer gave a great understanding of influences of the Tasmanian water & agriculture to give the best beer flavour.
Ensure you wear closed footwear for the tour; safety is important. The brewery does not always operational but the video of processes is very informative without the noise of the operation.

Stumbled upon this tour and it was well worth while! We were lucky enough to be in a small group of only 7 people but unlucky enough to arrive on a Thursday. The production line is only operational from Monday to Wednesday- highly recommend going on one of these days if possible. We were also lucky enough to have Alyssa as our guide. She was very informative and passionate and made the tour very enjoyable. Finishing in the bar tasting beers that are only available in Tasmania was an appropriate end to a great tour
Highly recommend

Had an awesome time visiting this amazing piece of Launcestons' history. Lots of things I wasn't aware of (even though I have lived in Launceston for over 20 years) and our guide Nicole, was incredible. There were a total of 20 people in our group (from all over Australia) and she was able to deliver the tour as though it was for each of us individually, not just a group. As a bonus, they have an incredible del for Tasmanian residents atm. Worth doing even if you aren't into beer and ale. There are non-beer and non-alcoholic choices for those not wishing to partake in the tasting at the end of tour

Although the tour was only 90 minutes long our guide was very informative about the processes and the history. The workers were always smiling & offering a bit more information along the way.
Our guide had a wonderful sense of humour from the start of the tour to the final tasting of the 3 beers on tap. Definitely recommend when in Launceston .

Don't miss this if you love beer and a bit of history!

We visited on the Australia Day public holiday, so the bottling line wasn't in operation, but that just meant we didn't need ear plugs and we could hear the tour guide.
