Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I recently planned a hike with a large group for 11 days with transport provided by Outdoor Tasmania. Paul who was our driver was punctual and very knowledgeable about the countryside which improved the experience. He was also helpful and attentive in the planning phase, providing prompt and useful solutions as well as options to suit our needs. Highly recommended :)
PS: the bus itself was clean and reasonably spacious and the trailer easily fit 11 packs which is a win

We cannot recommend Paul from Outdoor Tasmania highly enough.
We were unable to get a rental car and had to scramble to find a way to get around and see northern Tasmania in the short time we were there. Paul was kind enough to take my husband and I on an amazing tour of Freycinet National Park, he is a wealth of information and has so many incredible stories to share, he kept us entertained the whole day. He is also extremely fit, and has inspired us to add more walking to our daily routine. There was a problem with the website and trying to pay for the ticket, but I just called him and we were able to coordinate everything over the phone and text. So glad I did, we had the best day.

I'd highly recommend using Outdoor Tasmania for drop off / pick up for Overland Track.
Paul helped us out at very late notice when another carrier could not honour their agreement of pickup time at Lake St Clair.
Great communication and local knowledge.
Will go with Outdoor Tasmania on our next Tassie Hiking Adventure for sure!

Paul offers an amazing service. He collected us from our accommodation in Launceston , drove our family to the start of the Overland, collected us at the end, and held a bag for us in between. Nothing was too much trouble; Paul was incredibly informative about the track and Tasmania in general, and was very helpful when we had a last minute issue with one of our packs. I can't recommend Paul and his service highly enough. We would definitely use Outdoor Tasmania again if we returned to Tassie.

As a regular traveller and bushwalker myself, particularly when you are away from your home base, I understand the value of assistance when you have problems with any of your equipment which you are relying on.. I appreciate your thanks and glad that you enjoyed your trip in Tasmania and look forward to the opportunity to assist you again should you return to our amazing State. Paul Grigg (Outdoor Tasmania)

Paul was very friendly and incredibly knowledgeable and does not hesitate to share his knowledge of each region, town and geographical feature we drove past. We had a private charter from Launceston to Cradle Mountain and back, and he took pains to make interesting pit stops to share anecdotes with us. What was supposed to be a simple transfer became a proper tour. We are so grateful.

Phil was extremely helpful in working around COVID lockdowns etc. Kept us informed of border openings which made the difference in being able to plan the trip. Very flexible. Good advice around the start and finish of our through walk. Very pleasant and informed and good company for the trip by road.

A fantastic tour! Paul was so lovely and went to great lengths to look after us and ensure we had a great day. He was also very knowledgeable about the area and had some greats facts and stories to tell. We enjoyed the Freycinet day tour and were taken to some absolutely breath taking places! Wineglass bay is one of the most beautiful places we’ve ever seen and the charm and beauty of Coles Bay will make you wish you lived there! Highly recommend!

We recently went for the Frenchman's Cap hike and Paul drove us to and from the start of the trail. He was extremely kind, knowledgeable, punctual and took all the precautions to be Covid-safe. The bus was in excellent condition. Would highly recommend!!!!

Great and reliable service. Paul altered his schedule to make it work for us due to flight change by airline. Dropped off luggage to hotel to one of our party who had to return early due to injury. Communication was great prior to arriving and was able to give us lots of information regarding the walk on the drive there. Would definitely use again :)

Paul who picked us up from our accommodation to go to Cradle mountain was lovely, trustworthy and professional. Very happy with quick response to any emails and enjoyed the trip up to Cradle mountain and then back after the overland track. He has local knowledge and made the trip very enjoyable.
