Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It's a lovely gallery. Dan's paintings, pastels, encaustic - his subjects are many and varied. Great landscapes, nudes and animals. The setting of the gallery on St Georges Square is beautiful - and there's a cafe next door. I recommend visiting!

We dropped in to this gallery as we walked around the square to the excellent coffee shop opposite. Dan, both owner and artist in residence, was happy to spend time chatting with us. There's an excellent array of art-works, both in terms of subject matter and painting technique. Hard to believe that Dan created every work in the gallery. Very impressive. And what a lovely little building right on the square. If you're passing by you should most definitely stop in for a look.

I came across the gallery while walking back to my hotel. The charming artist is the owner and he employs many styles and methods to paint his eclectic collection of gorgeous works. What is nice about the collection is it showcases scenes of this area of Tasmania. He also sells cards and prints at a very reasonable rate.
Worth a visit if you want to take home a priceless memory of your trip.

We visited the Greenoaks Gallery to have a look at some local Tasmanian Art and ended up purchasing a stunning Tasmanian Landscape by Dan! Dan was very friendly and happily answered all of our questions. Dan even helped price up the cost of having the artwork shipped back to our home in Sydney. I would highly recommend dropping in to visit the Greenoaks Gallery!

A beautiful gallery showcasing the wonderful art of Dan Villiers which captures the stunning surrounds of the area including the wetlands. Dan and his wife were very friendly and helpful explaining the different mediums and helping me to decide which one to buy to take home!

What a great wander from the CBD! The artist, Dan works in a number of mediums and provides work that is reflective of the beautiful Tasmanian landscape. I liked that he works in a variety of sizes, allowing for a range of pricing that makes a nice gift or a special personal investment possible. A great stop!

Very ordinary art in my opinion , and the host somewhat offhanded,
better places in launceston to spend your time.

Thank you for your review. Your opinion is not at all what other people are telling us, but everybody's view of art is different (thank goodness!). We do appreciate all feedback and consider it carefully.
