Temptation is a 58 foot sailing catamaran which has been doing wild dolphin swims daily since 2001, in this time we have never been out on a dolphin cruise and not seen dolphins. In fact we will give you all your money back if dolphins are not seen on this cruise. Dolphins always come over to Temptation and you can stand or lay above them on our front nets. If you wish to swim, no worries (but book early to avoid disappointment) this is a totally wild experience, no feeding, no touching just viewing from within the water. Because these are wild dolphins we have strict rules to abide by (both for the safety of the swimmers and the dolphins) and sometimes it can be rushed to get the swimmers in the water and sometimes the crew do need to yell so that the swimmers know which way to look under water. If you book in for a swim and on the day change your mind, no problems we can refund the difference (direct bookings only), especially for young children who decide they don't want to swim, that way they don't need to feel forced to go into the water. Remember you will always see more dolphins from on board, but seeing wild dolphins underwater is just amazing.

Don't expect the crew to hand you a seasick bag - get your own, vomit over the edge, or get a companion to get one from the back of the boat for you. It was fully booked (50 people I think) and many were either vomiting or looking ill. One child had to be carried off the boat when we... More

It is very disappointing to see a bad review based entirely on weather/water conditions, unfortunately on this particular day the predicted wind/weather forecast was incorrect. I am glad you put in the date of the cruise as I remember the day well. The morning wind prediction was for westerly winds to swing to South East and calm down as the... More

I booked a tour for 'swimming with dolphins' a few days ago, where i've been with my boyfriend. Our experience was okay, but a bit too stressful. Once they expect to see dolphins, you need to be ready to jump in in a few seconds and we saw dolphins but - they were very fast swimming underneath us and a... More

Thank you for taking the time to write your review. We are sorry you found your experience to be just 'okay'. Unfortunately at times depending on the dolphins the swim process/getting in and out of the water can be quick. We hope you change your mind and join us back on-board again, maybe for a Coastal Cruise instead. More

I did the dolphin swim and my partner just did the dolphin watch. We both really enjoyed it, and saw lots of dolphins. You put your wetsuit and snorkel on, and line up ready to get into the water. Three people sit at the back of the boat ready to drop in and hold one of two ropes which trail... More

Overall this is a value for money trip out round the Glenelg bay. They pack a lot of people into the catamaran, but somehow once we got going there was plenty of space to move around. A bar that takes cash does however make me wonder at the purpose of drinks vouchers they sell when booking though. Much easier to... More

Friendly crew members that were helpful but a little flippant about the safety brief at the start of the cruise. Perhaps it could be forgiven that the drinks were not overally cold since it was 41 degrees on the day we went out! All in all worth the money!

We took our 2 grown up children & their partners as a Christmas present & everybody loved the experience. When dolphins are spotted & the crew think it is time to get in the water it is a speedy process, you slide into the water, grab onto a rope that is being towed behind the boat & move to the... they say they guarantee dolphins, that might be the case but i felt a little underwhelmed as they are gone before you have chance to get your breath & see. the young boy who took the photo's only 25, sounds a lot? but when you plug the usb stick in your laptop & 20 of them are of the pretty... Went on the dolphin swim with my teenage girl on a rainy and windy day, so the circumstances weren't the best. The staff was really friendly and gave a thorough introduction as we headed out. Because of the weather, we were only lucky enough to get in the water twice, but we stayed in with the dolphins for 20 minutes... More
