Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This was the first place we stopped off at in our road trip for the carnival 🎡 of flowers.
The view was amazing and well worth the stop.
Public toilet facilities if needed,
Restaurant to dine in all though the kids chose to order from the couple of street vans and sit for a picnic 🧺 on the grounds overlooking the mountain view.
Beautiful grounds.
A couple of Beautiful flower 💐 beds.
Nice little Central Park for younger kids.
Down the hill a little there is another park for slightly older kids around 8-9.
Mine lorikeet tourist walk around to the left which takes you to a little man made water fall that you can walk across and take some cute pics..
This is definitely a must see on your Toowoomba to do list.

Picnic point has excellent views over a large areas of toowoomba, there is a great restaurant which serves a variety of hot and cold snacks as well as good value meals, they offer gluten free item cakes and buns and to be honest if they didn't tell you they were gluten free you would not know. There is a large picnic area where you can barbecue or just eat your own food outside. It is at the top of a hill but there is loads of parking if you go in your car, I have been here several times and would recommend this as a place to visit.

Went on the recommendation of the tourist information centre as it provides a great lookout in nice parklands and an excellent cafe. The cafe was the ideal spot to sit in the sunshine, plan our garden visits and enjoy the district views. Coffee was very good and the scones with rhubarb jam were excellent. Service was friendly efficient and quick It’s a shame we didn’t have time to return for lunch.

Booked in on a Sunday 12pm and were promptly seated with great views of the valley. I had the house chicken pie with mash while my partner had the sirloin steak well done with salad and chips. The meals were big and the service was very good. Alcohol is available. Overall very good.

The look out was busy due to Toowoomba's Carnival of Flowers but we scored a car park and enjoyed the view across the surrounding landscape.
The cafe is also well worth the visit.
Staff were very friendly and obliging.

The views across the valley from up here are really good. Plenty of parking, nice garden settings and cafe/restaurant for those wanting to relax with a coffee/meal. We encountered a few Kookaburras sitting in trees at head height. They must be very used to people as they were not concerned at you getting within a few feet.

A great place to look out over the valley.
On a good day you can probably see forever....
We didn’t want a big lunch so opted for the warm apple pie with cream and ice cream.
A generous serving, brought to our table promptly, along with a milkshake for my partner and a piping hot pot of tea for me, was more than satisfying.
I urge anyone with an hour or so to spare to explore the Picnic Point area-and have a slice of the apple pie while you’re there.

Chance visit to the restaurant whilst walking the parklands at Picnic Point. COVID 19 restrictions enforced signed in and escorted to a table with a view down the range. Ample space between tables. Friendly and efficient staff provided excellent meals, Fish and Chips for wife and Sirloin steak for me. Reasonably priced, all good. I definitely want to recommend the Picnic Point Restaurant for fine service and quality meals.

If the sun is shining and it's not too hot or cold, this is a perfect place to be. Great for picnics with small children and adults. Can celebrate parties as bbq facilities available. However busy all the time so advance planning is best.
