Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The views were amazing and it is a popular surf spot, I liked that the view had the skyline of Surfers Paradise in the background. There were lots of places to sit and enjoy the area, it is a popular spot for a reason! It can get quite busy is the only thing so not the easiest to find somewhere to park and a lot of surfers to knock into if learning, but apart from that it was a lovely place to spend the morning.

What a gem of a spot. Hire a stand up paddle board from Leo at Currumbin Boatshed, paddle under the bridges to the inlet and have a swim in the clean, clear water. A coffee from the little cafe next door to the boatshed and read the paper, a truly beautiful way to spend a few hours!

My daughter & I love to spend time together at Currumbin. There's always something interesting to see whether it be whales, or little striped fish in rock pools. We walk around the big rock, watch people fishing, play in the rock pools, build sand castles, etc- It's just a gorgeous place to visit. There's a kids play park across the road, amenities, & lots of Cafe's and restaurants close by. We love it!

Nice place to swim with no crowd on the beach and waves can be massive when swell is up!! There is also a surf museum and a wildlife sanctuary where you are able to see koalas, kangaroos, a huge variety of birds, reptiles etc...This is definitely a place to relax and have good time as I did.

Not easy to find a beach let you have so many fun with lovely seawater temperature. Good for all people. Kids will have fun, too.

Currumbin beach has a great walk and is only about 1km north of Elephant rock.
A walk up to Currumbin Rock and Currumbin alley, will give you fabulous views of the entire coast all the way up the Gold Coast to the North and Elephant Rock, down to Kirra and Coolangatta towards the South.
Great Photo’s!

Golden sands which have been voted some of the cleanest in Australia with two of the three only free standing rocks on the Gold Coast, producing some of the coasts best waves. Consistent beachie's and a perfect, long right hand point. The Bird Sanctuary hosts many of Australia's wildlife including a 5 meter croc. ( go at feeding time ) Boutique clothes shops and small cafe houses ( salt mill is my favourite ) to the famous Currumbin SLSC with its best views on the coast. Look out for happy hour and enjoy the water wrap around the Rock and literally underneath you as the sun sets behind the hill. A perfect place. A great local website is www.thecurrumbin.com

Currumbin beach offers a great opportunity for singles or families to enjoy a fun day in both a safe and or exciting stretch of beach. The inlet of the Pacific Ocean to Currumbin Creak River is good for small children to splash about and for boats, tinnies paddle boarding and fishing. The main beach adjoining it is good for surfing the waves. Swimming and sunbathing. Picnics and or barbecue areas are available on either stretch of the beach so with fantastic restaurants for coffee and various shops a walk away it’s a perfect place for everyone.

Currumbin beach was nice and surreal when we made it there in the late afternoon and the sun was about to set. I loved going up on the tower literally fighting against wind. The stair of the tower was extremely narrow but everyone sort of got into a gentlemen’s queue and helped each other out. There is a club/restaurant right beside the tower.

Our first visit to Currumbin Beach was unfortunately in inclement weather but we were able to see the SWELL sculpture festival which was, despite the weather a great experience.
The beach itsel looked amazing even with the brief showers, unfortunately we were not able to take the best advantage of the beach and go for a swim!

Are there waves? Would it suit 14, 10 and 8 year old kids? Are dogs allowed?

There are waves further out at the rocks. Currumbin is where river meets the sea so great for swimming where there are no waves at the mouth of river as well
