Started with a beautiful early morning drive through the hinterland of the Byron Shire, making our way through Bangalow with a stop at the bakery, followed by Clunes, then arriving at beautiful Rosebank village. We were met by our guide, Cody. Who drove us down to the launch spot. Waiting was the kayaks set up with fishing rods in each, and a cup of hot coffee. While drinking our coffee we were given the rundown on what we were going to be doing. They then gave us some water and little waterproof pack with some delicious snacks to take in the kayak. We took off and it was so peaceful heading down the river system keeping our eyes peeled for any platypus. Once we got further, we could cast and start fishing. Cody our guide was super helpful showing us the ropes of how to cast and where the best places are to cast. He explained all about the fish habits and what kind of species are around these river systems. It felt like the 3 hours went so quick, the next thing we know we are back at the launching spot. Would highly recommend this experience for the whole family! Thank you to go fish for the professional and friendly service!

If you're looking for something authentically Australian, off the beaten track and simply awesome, this is the adventure. Starting with a paddle through the spectacular hinterland, to be honest I would have been more than happy if we didn't even pull the rods out. So still and tranquil, we saw 4 platypus diving in the shallows, birdlife, bass swimming in the shallows and had amazing guides. Then off to local farmers and producers that were so generous with their time and passionate about working with the land and giving back. From bush tucker to real free range egg farms, such a rare treat to be invited into their world. Sampling all of the local produce through out the day and then a sumptuous lunch with while hearing the amazing stories of the people behind each ingredient is hard to beat. Could not recommend this tour more highly.
