Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The place reeks as soon as soon as you walk in. The floorboards are collapsing in places and to say it is damp is an understatement, it’s wet everywhere, including on the limited seating.
There is mould growing on the walls.
The ice had pools of water in parts and at the end nearest the entrance there was matting placed on the ice to deal with the water, with oranges safety cones.
The ice had chunks missing and holes in it, caused by the water dripping from the roof. The temperature inside an ice rink should be no more than 5 degrees but this was more like 20 which would account for the melting ice. About three-quarters of the way up the ice a small ditch had formed, making the unsuspecting skater stumble.
Patches of the ice had bits of rust that was falling from the overhead beams.
This is a safety hazard and the management should really address these issues before taking money from patrons who risk injury skating in such conditions. I saw no sign of a Zamboni but if they do have one they should consider using it occasionally.
The ice condition can only be described as atrocious.
It’s an old “shed” that has clearly had no money spent on maintenance in ages.
I have my own skates but a quick look at the hire skates showed a condition consistent with the whole place. Give it a miss.

To flee!
The place is very dirty, but very poorly maintained.
The filthy toilets. The skates are in very poor condition, even broken.
The lockers for storing things are dirty and don't close!
Water everywhere even on the benches to sit on to put on the skates.
Impossible to see the ice rink before going in and paying, we understand why now given the state.
The ice on the rink is melted… I don't recommend it at all.
We went in and came out immediately without even having set foot on the ice rink, this was so unacceptable, it is not a place worthy of receiving customers.
Finally, we demanded a refund from the staff.

Yahye an ice rink in Bundall, run by the best.
My son's have skated since they were 4 and 5, have kept improving.
It's a neat thing we do, limbo is awesome, participation and lining up.
It's a total social expression.
Cool and relaxed how it's a hockey rink, to serious hockey stars.
Feel my thighs burn and my cardio pushed.

We had a really nice evening ice skating and teaching my son to find his balance on the ice. I really don’t know what the bad reviews are about, iv been to a few ice skating rinks and it’s totally fine. You come to skate not do an building inspection! Staff were friendly, other ice skaters considerate and good music to get you moving. Definitely recommend👍

Took my grandson for his first on ice experience. Total 4 adults and 3 year old. Skates were in unbelievable poor condition, none had an edge which made them almost impossible to control. The entry fee included the skates. These I was told were complimentary so I couldn't expect them to be in great shape. If I didn't like them then I should buy my own. Staff told me sharp skates were dangerous. Poor attitude and idiotic statement.
Never again!

Terrible spot for customer service, staff are rude at best. They actually reused a coffee pod so I got a coffee what was so week, I thought at first it was just milk! Equipment is broken and dated, overcrowded and dangerous. Give this one a miss Folks!

Not happy with the completely unapologetic staff. They have changed the skate school time from the afternoon to the morning for the school holidays without updating their website. I was told that there were signs inside reception but what good is that if you haven't been there to see the signs? Surely it would make more sense to update the website and not waste people's time going all the way there for nothing?! I wouldn't have minded so much if the person I spoke to didn't have such a poor attitude.

I had gone to skate for my first time last week. It wasn''t a good experience. The shoes were in such poor condition I had gotten 3 blisters on my feet. I ask the staff that gave out the shoes if there was anything I was doing wrong he just said to tighten them. So I did. The case got much worse that I couldn't go to school next day. We had gone there with our church friends and all of them had the same issue. They really need to fix up their shoes because it wasn't helping me at all.

Took my partner here for the first time tonight and he loved it, it's a smart idea to bring a jumper as it's very cold inside the session goes for an hour and a half but after just 1 hour the ice was very melted and a bit slippery but all in all a super good night

Came to the gold coast for a little holiday and couldn't believe there was an ice rink here. I use to skate as a kid and couldn't wait to jump on. The ice was dry and flat ( perfect conditions). The staff was so friendly and descovered I had skated at one of their rinks back in the days.
Great venue and definitely recommend
