Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We spent a fabulous couple of hours on the car and passenger ferries between islands in Gladstone harbour. If you didn’t look back at the horrible industry - looks like whitisunday islands.

Beautiful.

The experience was fun seeing how islanders use the ferry for their white goods tractors groceries and other provisions.

Very interesting . We loved it.

The peace was ruined by around a 100 screeching school kids coming on board .

All told we would do it again.

This tour was so much more then expected. The Tour guide explained bout all the islands with more statistics then we could remember. We saw a ship being tugged from its mooring to go on its way overseas. The industrial sites were pointed out and explained. This harbour is so clean for an industrial harbour. Fully credit to the industry and local government for their efforts. Loved the morning tea too.

Went on the morning tea cruise around Gladstone Harbour. It was very interesting but the highlight was the lady doing the commentary. She spoke clearly so everyone could hear her and the information that she gave was just so interesting. Not dull, amusing at times, but she is perfect for this job. Well done, sorry I dont know your name and thank you. Chris and Ted Harrison. Perth W.A.

With just a day to spare we decided to try the Curtis Ferry tour of the harbour and we are glad we did. While the weather was not the best as it was raining in between,we thoroughly enjoyed the great and informative commentary from the crew.

We lived through the GLNG construction phase and never bothered to see what the noise and the big fat cheques were for and it all came out in the 2 hours we were on the barge.
.

Great space to run around and amazing 360degree views from the upper and lower decks. The commentator was spot on and very knowledgeable on the industry surrounding us,a must tour for the people of Gladstone and those visiting or passing through.

This is a fantastic way to learn about the industry in and around Gladstone harbour. Plenty of room to move around on 3 levels. The tour guide has all the info on each industry and all on the water so a fantastic viewpoint. If you don’t find industrial information interesting, you won’t like this. Take an Island cruise instead. Great value for money and we could take our little dog on with us. Very tasty muffin and coffee or tea included in our concession price of $24 ea. Excellent value for 2 hr cruise Highly recommend.

What a fantastic way to spend a couple of hours and extremely informative. If your a greenie you will hate the fact that the world needs coal and this port is very successful at exporting a verity of minerals. Not very body wants to live in the dark, eat moss and sleep under a tree. Well worth the trip.
