Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Visited on Thursday 17th June. We were out walking and wanted to check out the views from there. The park was being upgrade so will make sure to visit again to see what they have done. You get fantastic views of Coolangatta Beach, Kirra Beach and Surfers Paradise skyline in the distance

The walk is a bit steep to get to up the hill. The views are amazing. My suggestion would be to go later in the day around sunset. If you are walking you can walk up by the road or use the steps. You can see down to Surfers Paradise on one side and Coolangatta on the other side.

If you and your family happen to be in Coolangatta, I would say that it is worthwhile for you & family to visit the Kirra Hill Lookout. It is located at McLean Street, Coolangatta, QLD.
You'll have the opportunity to view the Gold Coast skyline, Coolangatta Beach and others. The Queen Elizabeth Park is just next to it.

Kirra Hill will provide you with excellent views along both sides of the coast and great photo's on a clear day.
There is parking available at the top with BBQ and picnic facilities. A great place to stop and bring your lunch.
Look for the large iron eagle sculpture that is suppose to stand as the lookout for the return of Kirra beaches, famous waves.

Get up here early to watch the sunrise over Coolangatta!
Be here a bit before sunrise to get a good spot as it gets busy with tourists and photographers especially during the holidays.

We were pleasantly shown the Kirra Hill Lookout today and it made out day out.
My cousins have lived here for 14yrs and just found it recently but it's so outstanding.Everyone should visit here and have a BBQ ,photos, and just admire the wonderful scenery that gets no publicity .
This should be on everyone's bucket list.
I hope someone reads this and goes there too.

Worth the short steep walk up here, or drive around the block to access the lovely 180 deg sea view and look right down the esplande of Coolangatta.

Yes you can walk, however we visited in pretty inclement weather when we were driving through, so drove up for rain-covered views on the day, however still got some pretty good happy snaps, and it does offer some great views of the beaches. Well worth doing, and doesn't take too long at all!

There is a little look-out at the top of Kirra Hill which has a small shelter with a picnic bench. The view down to Coolangatta and back up the coast to Surfers Paradise is magnificent and worth the hike up the slope from Kirra to get here. It is a very steep (but only a small distance) down the hill into Coolangatta.
