About
Nestled in the middle of the Steinhardt family's original macadamia orchard on Goodwood Road, the Macadamias Australia Visitor Experience provides a journey of discovery of our native nut. Learn about the Steinhardt family's commitment to sustainable farming that goes back more than six decades through interactive displays and a self-guided tour. See the care and commitment that's required to look after more than 220,000 macadamia trees, and see the purpose-built state-of-the-art macadamia facility where nuts are cracked and packed. Enjoy a guided tasting of Macadamias Australia's range of premium nuts, included flavoured and chocolate-coated macadamias. The Visitor Experience includes a Farmgate Shop where you can purchase Macadamias Australia's range of products as well as a hand-selected collection of locally-produced items. Check our listing for the onsite cafe, The Orchard Table, serving macadamia-inspired dishes and overlooking the picturesque orchard and lawned area.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Went for lunch as neighbours in the caravan park told us how good their food was the day before. No one could tell us what was in the filo pastry so it was pot luck. When it arrived it was straight out of the fridge. I ordered a ham and cheese foccacia, what I received was a bit of tasteless bacon with an egg on foccacia which was like leather. I asked the waitress but she never returned . Based on my
experience, I'd never go back. Waste of money 👎👎👎👎👎

Didn't know what to expect but got a full run down on everything towards making the farm work. From bees helping with the flowers to the shells being used for ground health.

What an experience, the tour was very informative, the information was interesting and best of all was the tasting. The lunch was delicious and the flavours were enticing to eat the whole meal. When you enter the foyer your visual tastes are raised to the heavens. You must travel to see with your own eyes.

Video explanation of Macadamias Australia was comprehensive and informative.
The tour was a bit disappointing- visitors are not allowed to access the processing plant or the orchard, what a a pity.
The tour host was knowledgeable about growing macadamia nuts, but did not share any commercial or industry knowledge.

Sanitha took us on an amazing journey on the comprehensive and interactive tour. This is an adults tour and worth every cent we paid. We learnt about the history and growing and manufacturing and the current building of facilities. Fantastic tour! Loved nut cracking and tasting and learning about the way the nut forms. And there’s so many different nuts to try!
Sanitha is such a beautiful, gracious and knowledgeable tour guide. I didn’t need the amazing surprise treat at the end, but ate it all anyway! Do yourself a favour when visiting and stay for lunch as well as the tour. The lunch menu is great. There’s lots to buy in the shop and I went away loaded up. The nuts are incredible. My fav were the lemon myrtle. Also leave a bit of time to check out the displays too.

I wouldn't call it a tour as we walked outside to crack some nuts and learn more about the process and then walked back inside to finish the presentation. Overall it was a good learning experience.
