We perform checks on reviews.
Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great park for a family gathering. Good bbq facilities and shelters for groups, and an interesting children’s playground. My grandson loves the flying fox. There are regular parties going on and the shelters get taken from early morning. Watch the parachutists come in too.

They're probably building more car parks judging by the large area of the park cordoned off. I didn't believe the comments about it being dominated by car parks and noisy roads until I saw it. There's not much else. One expanse of grass seemed set up for sports, the others seemed pointless when there's JP Galvin Park across the road adjoining the beach.

Would be nice to see this public area available for use by the entire community. Contending with a couple of large, outdoor exercise groups (which seem to run an hourly class); the morning tai chi ensemble; the Skydiving place which seems to have “ownership” of one car park area; the influx of Western Sydney “park goers” - smoking their hookahs, barbecuing their skewers over burning car tyre grills, and segregating their women and children to pay in the path of oncoming cars till all hours of the night; Wollongong City Council barricading off the public space to provide room for the latest “drug fuelled” festival to come to town; and WCC themselves on a quick cash grab, fining people for parking infringements, though knowing well, they fail to provide adequate parking for the influx of people wanting to use this area.

Local ratepayers paying for Sydneysiders to use our facilities and leave their rubbish behind without spending a cent in the area. It’s time WCC introduced paid parking on weekends and holidays to recoup some of the cost of maintaining the parks, just as the Sydney councils do

This used to be a cricket pitch with weekend matches to watch, however now it is little more than a huge car park with greenery in the centre for the sky divers to land on. On weekends it is ridiculously overfull with a lot of people from Sydney that have discovered the area and made it a stay away place for locals.

This park has everything but I’d like to address the parking issue first. Parking is minimal for this area and don’t even try to be sneaky and park on the grass as this area is manned by parking inspectors and the fines are hefty.
Situated next to North beach Wollongong this park has a great kids playground with flying fox .
There are BBQs and bench tables along with cabana areas to picnic
The lagoon is good for canoeing and leads to the beach.
Sky diving lands in the park for the thrill seekers.
The Lagoon restaurant overlooks the lagoon and beach area with fine dining.
Lots of fitness instructors frequent the area and there is a jogging path.
Worth a look!
