Our family enjoyed our visit, including our two teenagers (13 & 15). The 'Bubbleology' Show was a highlight. Appreciated how interactive the displays were - had a terrific time exploring and sometimes competing with each other. Spent about three hours here - an hour longer than I expected! We also went to Questacon on our holiday and I worried there would be alot of duplication between the two venues; there was actually hardly any overlap. Both were quite unique and worthwhile experiences. Great gift shop too! Only thing we felt was lacking was a tap where we could fill our water bottles the next leg of our trip. A very enjoyable visit!

This is a fantastic little stop on the way down the coast.
It broke up our drive and the kids absolutely loved it!!! The exhibits were fun and quirky and really grabbed the kids attention.
The entry price was so cheap that we didn’t mind paying just for an hour and a half’s entertainment. Could have easily stayed longer but we had to get back on the road.
Would highly recommend a stop here for young families doing the Sydney to south coast drive.

Great three hours with the family at Science Space. Kids loved all the interactive exhibits and reckoned it was much better than ‘Early Start Discovery Place’. Only slight negative is the on-site cafe which Is very basic. Suggest dining elsewhere although I was told there is a proper cafe very near which is pretty good.

Our 6 and 4 year old kids absolutely loved their visit. In fact, I think I loved it as much as them. So many great and interactive activities. Fantastic way for them to learn about physics, science and space in such a hands on way. We attended the musical universe show in the planetarium and we all loved it.

We came here with our children aged 5-9yo and everyone had a great time. A great little science museum with just enough hands on activities and variety to keep everyone interested and entertained. The live shows were excellent too. We would definitely come again!

Just awesome - this science space mostly geared for kids has lots of interactive science things for kids and adults to enjoy. The planetarium is very informative and the café was surprisingly affordable with a good range. Highly recommend!

I visited Science Space yesterday with my sister, cousin, mother and two young daughters.
Every exhibit is interactive, and we thoroughly enjoyed the sound and music show, as well as the liquid nitrogen show.
As the afternoon shows are aimed at older children we didn’t visit the planetarium,
although my eldest daughter (aged four) recently saw a show on a preschool excursion and loved it.
The staff are really great with kids and very helpful with information on the exhibits.
We didn’t eat at the canteen, though I did note that the prices are very reasonable.

Loved by my grandson, and grandma too, although some of the exhibits are getting a little tatty, probably from overuse. During school holidays there are special child orientated lectures which are informative and great fun.

Great centre with lots of hands on activities for kids. Would suggest though that managers do regular audits to check which activities/displays are not fully functional and have them repaired. Dinosaurs for example have torn plastic around the neck area. Would also benefit from increased staff presence to ensure kids are not being overly vigorous with activities.

Thank you very much for taking the time to give us your feedback, we are glad you enjoyed your time. We would like you to know that we do twice daily checks on our all exhibits, and are regularly repairing exhibits. Given the high use nature of our hands-on exhibits, we do the very best that we can.

After enjoying a party here on the weekend, came back (from Sydney) with my 3yo & 10 mth old. It was my daughter’s 5th visit, but there’s so much to see & do - we’re still discovering new exhibits. Great indoor and outdoor areas (including water play), so good for all weather. Fantastic space for the baby to crawl/walk around and explore too. Great facilities & very clean. Wonderful & helpful staff - went above and beyond to help me with some lost property. There’s a cafe, but got caught out once as it didn’t open over the long weekend and there’a not really any food nearby. Great fun for a few hours or whole day out!

is there anything for adults here?
Stuart C
Wollongong, Australia1 contribution
Hi all our exhibits are designed so they can be engaged with at many levels and hopefully the many adults that visit as part of family visits certainly gain a lot from the exhibition. If visiting during the weekends then we offer a selection of Science Shows which are always interesting and fun for all levels and finally our planetarium (NSW's largest) offers a selection of shows with normally at least two ideally suited for adults or older children. please check our website for our full program.
Many thanks
Stuart

Hi! Wanting to take my 4 year old on Thursday as it is not a school holiday or weekend wanted to know if there are still shows on!?
Stuart C
Wollongong, Australia1 contribution
Hi, Sadly there are no scheduled shows on Thursday but we do have a school group booked in so it may be possible to sit in on their program but this can only be confirmed on arrival of the school when we will know exact numbers. A full schedule will be available this weekend.
Kind regards
Stuart
