Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My sister and I visited here the other weekend. We started off in the cafe which was very busy with friendly staff. We then paid for the rainforest walk $17 and joined a volunteer on the 45 minute walk. Very informative guide. Lovely gift shop selling everything and anything.

My husband and I really enjoyed the board walk experience. This is clearly good value at $ 9.00 pp. For no extra cost we elected to take the guided tour with Wayne an experienced volunteer. Wayne was able to help us learn about rain forest plants and current challenges with the drought. The tour took over an hour and is highly recommended. We saw many people race quickly along the board walk which is one way os seeing the rain Forrest. Our recommendation is to take the tour. Thanks to Wayne.

We walked around the boardwalk, enjoying the rainforest, which was very pleasant on a lovely sunny day. We had a nice lunch at the cafe, it fortunately being warm enough to sit outside, as there were 3 large tables of people inside with no social distancing. The shop is interesting to browse through.
To summarise, a pleasant few hours.

We chose to have our lunch in the restaurant there before heading off to explore the last reminant of rainforest in Port Macquarie and home to koalas and other natural wildlife. Even the trees and plants we looked at where beautiful and interesting. A great place to visit regardless of age or ability.

I visited in November on Sunday between 11-12pm and heard birdsong. It wasn't too busy so I had a quiet and relaxing walk. I lunched at the Centre cafe which has good options and great service. There is a souvenir shop with some locally made goods.

I’ve been wanting to visit just for the rainforest walk. I finally got there today and lived it. The gift shop was lovely. The service was great at the cafe and the food was probably 6/10 - definitely caters for those who prefer healthy, organic options.

This is a must for all nature lovers great way to spend a few hours taking a leisurely walk around the forest board walk. highly recommend taking your time and reading the information plaques along the way outlining the species of trees and plants being viewed. Keep an eye out for the lizards, brush turkeys and birds making there way around the rainforest

The boardwalk takes you from near the canopy to the forest floor. Lots to see - bush turkeys and other birds, various ferns growing high in trees, different rain forest species.
The walk takes about 30 minutes - accessible to wheelchairs and people with mobility issues. There's a few seats along the way to rest on if needed.
$9 entry fee per adult, discount for concession and seniors card holders. We were surprised by the entry fee as we've been to other National Parks that are free to enter.
Look out for the carvings towards the end of the walk.
There's a gift shop with assorted tourist tat.

We enjoyed our morning at Sea Acres immensely. We began with a 9am breakfast at the cafe and it was delightful! We then paid the $9pp to access the 1.3km boardwalk. Despite being short in distance, the walk took us a while as we wanted to take in all that was around us and read the information signage that was posted throughout the walk.
Sadly didn't get to see any exciting animals but it was a great walk nonetheless and we finished it feeling very calm and relaxed.
Great little gift shop attached also.

Having been to quite a number of national parks on the Mid-North Coast I had high expectations. But I was pretty underwhelmed. While the rainforest board walk was a nice walk through the rainforest I think charging $9 was a bit much for what it was. I guess they have to maintain it? Is that what the $9 for?
Of course it was tranquil walking through the rainforest but there were no animals to be seen other than a bird, so little bit boring.
There are plenty of other places to walk that are free.

How much for entrance fees n how Long will the walk take? if we want a guide ..do we need to book in advance n how much to engage him for?
Written 21 November 2015
The entrance fee is $8 per adult which includes a guided tour. No need to book the guide in advance, just request one when you arrive, you might have to wait a few minutes but there is a gift shop to browse while waiting.
