Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We visited here as part of a wine tour. We tasted four wines from local wineries paired with cheese produced locally. The presenter was very knowledgeable about both the wines and cheese, we were told that the wines tasted change on a regular basis and are from many different small local wineries.

Delicious selection. Knowledgable expert staff. Introduced me to new varietals with which I wasn't familiar. So kind and hospitable. Good prices. Nice selection.

We have been to Hermitage Cellar door & Winery one many occasions and thought I should really write a review.
Danny, excellent customer service, so much knowledge of wine and the all the wine growing areas.
The visit to the tasting room is a fantastic experience and if you are unsure about wines, this is the place to taste and learn. We always come back every year and if you haven't visited, next time in the Hunter it is a place you must visit.

Nice experience with knowledgable staff but the wine was mostly "drink now" with little body or character.

Great vineyard with a variety of activities available. We had the talk and video about how the wines made then got to try around 6 different wines in which I would definitely recommend the sparkling shiraz which is amazing!! We then all had a go at traditional grape stomping which was squelchy and a strange sensation on the feet. Following all of this we opted to buy a beer tasting paddle from the bar and had some anti pasti which literally was the best food I ate the whole time we were in Australia.
