    Excellent wine tasting
This is the second time I have done a wine tasting here in the last 12 months. I love their wines and the staff provide excellent description of the wines. The setting at Bimbadgen is beautiful. Its located downstairs where they hold the outdoor wood fired pizza.

An excellent weekend in the Hunter Valley
We bought a package through Luxury Escapes to stay at The Lanes which is part of Bimbadgen Winery. The accommodation was fantastic with a king size bed and room, and a very large bathroom. It was spotless. We had 2 wine tastings included - one at Bimbadgen and one at Alter Wines which were great. The Pizza Bar and ESCA restaurant were five star. Not only is the service excellent, but the staff look like they really like to work there. Outstanding service, amenities, food, wine and location. Highly recommend. Sharon and Ken

I would describe this place as one of those stuck up cellar doors.
Wine is good, but tasting fee is non-refundable upon purchase. They do not look to me like a small winery, so why not offer a refund with a bottle is beyond me.
We wanted to do two separate tasting: Signature ($20) and Growers ($10). This was initially met with "no, we do not do this, you both stick to the same". Why? No idea, something to do with a different time structure, since this is so important when pouring wines and it would take longer. Anyway, we managed to convince the girl that we are there to sample the regional wines and we do not care if it takes longer since we are on holidays. Initially, there was a rigid adherence to the tasting list, but we got her to relax and she poured a couple of other wines not on the list.
Overall, good experience, but takes some effort to work on the staff there so they become more user friendly.

Really enjoyed this tasting. It was certainly busy, which was fine as we have young kids who can be noisy. We liked tasting 2 to 3 wines at the same time. Our host was great in challenging us to choose between the wines from the two vineyards. They also had older vintages available, which is always great since there are some great vintage years worth tasting and collecting.

They have 2 options: standard and signature (Premium/vintage/reserve/single vineyard). I chose the signaature and highly recommend it. Staff were amazing, so nice, pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable. Great experience

You can book the tasting online

My 6yo daughter had the activity pack and soft drink for a small fee and it helped me to entertain her while I was wine tasting.

It is s incredible how the Shiraz and Semillon from McDonald's road, Palmer's Lane and the signature (mix of both vineyard, but chosen the best grapes...) taste completely different.

They have a couple of platters to choose from with charcuterie, cheeses etc
Next time we will go there hungry because the wooden fire oven pizza seemed delicious (it was NSw school holidays and it was maximum number of diners too) and the view from the pizza cafe is beautiful.

My low score is not for their wine, which we enjoyed, but for the "experience", which was disappointing to say the very least.

Whilst we'd booked a few days ahead for our wine tasting, they really seemed to be under the pump. The noise level in there was through the roof.

The young lady who served us was polite, but seemed to just go through the motions, reciting her script with no emotion, then after we'd tasted just 2 out of our 6 wines she went AWOL. So we twiddled our thumbs looking bored till someone else came & poured us another wine, same scenario.

In the end we tasted all 6, and were charged $20 for what was the only wine tasting we had to pay for in our 2 day Hunter trip, and interestingly was the only one we didn't enjoy.

Daughter and I did the sparkling wine tasting which we enjoyed immensely. We were joined by the boys of the family for Friday night woodfired pizza and live music. The pizzas and garlic bread were fabulous and the solo singer (27/1) was great, singing songs we and our late teen kids could sing along to. It was a great vibe with the lovely view and the setting sun.

It was ok, pretty sure if you had the pizza it would have been great.
The sparkling was the standout, ther service was good, although they couldn't cope with flexibility. We were happy to pay for all 3 variations of tasting to get an insight into their full range and that seemed to cause a meltdown. In addition the gin tasting was so watered down it was pretty much just water. As a result, we didn't buy the gin.
Unlike Audrey Wilkinson, however we did buy some wine.
Overall ok, but another large winery with such diverse offering they seem unable to keep up.

We were staying nearby at Grand Mecure Hunter Valley. It was that close I could have walked but opted to drive.

I prebooked the bubbles experience for $15 This privided a selection of still whites, sparkling whites and a rose. Great explanation by our server.

I enjoyed the wines and I puchased a few bottles of Fiano (Italian Style) and Sparkling Semillion.

Its a really good winery to visit.

On site there is a wood-fired pizza area and fine dining at Esca.

We booked a wine tasting at Bimbadgen based on a recommendation by a friend. We arrived early and decided to have lunch prior to our tasting. Service was great and lunch was tasty. We enjoyed the signature tasting and left with a few bottles to enjoy later (Palmer Lane and Mcdonalds Road). Our host Jordan was very knowledgeable and by the end of our visit she was hosting two other groups as well as us and we thought she did a great job of taking care of all of us.

As we left the vineyard we stopped for a photo by the grapes and bumped into Richard (the Bimbadgen winemaker), he was checking the grapes and told us they were about a week away from being harvested. (We didn’t pick the grapes! Richard let us hold them!)

Thank you! We loved our visit to Bimbadgen and highly recommend for wine tasting and lunch!

We stopped by the Bimbadgen Winery on the way through town. We visited based on a recommendation and we would now like to recommend to others. Our kids were with us, so only one of us did the signature wine tasting. It was also a great place to have a pizza lunch, as the view is amazing. The service was fantastic and the staff were all very friendly and accommodating of children. We walked away with a couple of nice bottles to have at home, and on a special occasion.

This is our second visit to Bimbadgen and we weren't disappointed. We called into the winery after a tour without a booking (this isn't advisable after covid however we were lucky!) We enjoyed a pizza there which was delicious to soak up some of the wines from our morning tour then we headed into the cellar door for a tasting. The pizza was lovely, all fresh ingredients and well made.
Our tasting was brilliant, very chilled but the recommendations were great and we tried some different wines to our first visit.
All in all a great spot.
