It’s like taking a trip to Tuscany. Came here on a wine tour and fell in love with the vineyard, the hospitality and of course the wine. The wine is a hidden gem of the Hunter Region, a boutique winery that will have you instantly signing up to the Club (like I did). Huge shout out to a Wendy who was knowledgeable and engaging when doing our tasting. I was so taken with the whole experience that I became a member and look forward to continuing to enjoy their wines I’m the future. I can’t recommend this beautiful winery enough, PS. Try the Semillion Angus.

These days you have to book wine tastings but that at least sets out your day. We were into Tintilla first thing and Sophie made us very welcome. They produce single variety wines which has always been my preference. The 2021 semillon was young, zesty and sharp...perfect with oysters. The 2014 was more mature and aging well. Pebbles Brief Chardonnay is a more European type wine but full and rich. The Justine merlot is young, very dry with just a touch of sweetness and very forward tannins. In time it will be good. Of the 2 shiraz we tasted, the reserve was my preference...fruity and smooth with emerging tannins...a nice drop. The Patriarch shiraz will be a great wine in a few years time when it matures. Sophie was an impeccable host, the vineyard is beautiful and well worth a visit.

What a beautiful winery! The grounds are stunning and so beautiful to walk by and take a few pics. Justine was fabulous and very knowledgeable about all the wines we tried - the fact she was part of the family who own the vineyard was a nice touch. The family traditions are strong here, from the names of the wines to the roses at the end of the vines. This was an unexpected stop on our tour and ended up being the highlight - I highly recommend this experience.

My husband and I went to four different wineries in a day. This was our far favourite winery! We were super glad that we fpund this place in hunter valley!

Reasons are:
We took our time. Actually, staff let us to take out time. This was the very best tasting experience! They introduced their wines time to time, one by one, not too fast or slow. We had enough time to enjoy their wines. Calm and relaxing at a gorgeous winery overlooking the vineyard.

Great wine and food. This winery had many different sorts of wines and delicious dipping sauces.

Ladies who served us were very kind, helpful and knowledgeable of wines as well.

I cannot comment how relaxing it was! This place gives you the feel of romantic Southern France.

Wouldn’t hesitate to visit again.

Nice boutique winery. Cellar door was well air conditioned on a really hot day. The single staff member coped well with the influx of customers and she was very pleasant and informative. We enjoyed the range of wines overall and bought a mixed case. The highlight was the availability of museum magnums of their flagship shiraz and I bought one of those too which was about 15 years bottle aged. Very much recommended visit. Just be careful when approaching from the north and heading south. The first sign telling you the cellar door is 100m ahead is on a private driveway which we accidentally turned into. Entrance is easy to see coming from the south and heading north.

We actually visited this winery as part of the two far blokes tour, it had also been recommended to us so we were keen to visit however we were unfortunately disappointed with the service.
We completed a blind tasting as part of the tour and the guy who served us wasn't engaged at all, in all honesty it seemed like he couldn't be bothered. What could have been a really fun, interactive session, really fell quite flat which was a shame and as a result really let down the wines.
I know it is a smaller winery so I do think it's a shame to mark it down and I wouldn't normally mark a venue low however half of the experience in a cellar door is your host and on this occasion it fell really flat.

Sorry to hear you did not enjoy your experience here. The blind tastings are normally a fun way to enjoy a wine tasting and I can only say you must have got us on a bad day, apologies but this can happen.

My friends and I have been visiting Tintilla for many years, we love the wine tastings and always enjoy the long lunches that they host. My personal favourite wine is the rose but every wine of I have had there has been lovely. Last time we were up we did the $15 tasting with cheese and olives and loved everything.

We visited this wonderful vineyard off a recommendation and so glad we did. They were so accommodating with our children and the fact we didn't have a booking.

We really enjoyed our visit here, the wines were all great, we tried the olives, cheese and some of their spreads. Everything was lovely from the setting which felt European to the wines we tried and the service. We tried 8 wines each with cheese, crackers and olives for $15 per person. They do meat and cheese platters as well. Definitely make this a stop on your Hunter Valley visit.

Our young family had a beautiful New Year’s Day here overlooking stunning landscape with high quality wines. Edward, our host, was knowledgeable and very friendly! Our 9 month old was able to crawl about on the courtyard and enjoy some lovely wooden toys provided. Would definitely visit again! Thank you :)

Tintilla definitely has one of the nicest views and atmospheres on the Food & Wine trail, and their olives are seriously delicious. Though John had quite a few people to take care of at once, he did a wonderful job offering some insights into each wine we tasted, and he made us feel more than welcome to take our time and enjoy the view. Many thanks to everyone at Tintilla for prioritizing covid safety without compromising on exceptional service! We're stilling dreaming about those olives...
